August 26, 2012 Christmas Card

Cricut used for sleigh, cuttlebug embossing folder, snowflake vellum, asst ribbon, asst, bling

Here are two more fun cards we made at our play/create day - don't you love the sleigh - Cheryl has a Cricut and I don't so these two cards were fun to put together.  Love the soft snowflake vellum that she had when you touch the snowflakes are a velvet texture.  Add some bling to the card (you know I love bling) tape it down and ready to go.

Every year for my birthday my friend (and boss) get together at her house and we each have 3-4 projects that we make, then we go to lunch and come back and create some more.  Time is such  a nice birthday present as well as we each get to add more knowledge and creations to our stash!!!  Oh I forgot the best part - she also makes "garp" - per my request, almonds, M&Ms, and raisins and I got to take the remainder of the bag home with me to share with DH,.  I will be sharing a couple more we made soon.

August 17, 2012 Whimsie Doodle Pencil Pixie

Whimsie Doodles Digi Image, DCWV DP, Spellbinders nesties, Copic markers, Queen and Co. washi tape, Vippies (pencil), AMuse glitter. AMuse cherry CS

Is she not a real cutie she is a "freebie from Whimsie Doodles  and she was so much fun to coor and paper piece (her dress and head band.)  I always have my sewing machine set up in my craft studio and just never think to use it but on this one I thought it added a little extra touch.  The pencil is from Vippies that I have had a pkg. of forever and my DH cut it off for me (it was way too long) and I glued it to the notebook paper.  Sentiment is from a set from TAC.  Love the glitter on her wings.

DPDC26 Crescent Moon Ants

Doodle Pantry Crescent Ants Digi Image, spell binders circle nestie, quick cut doily nestie, DP from Nanas Kids, purple ribbon from my stash, sentiment TAC

Way out of my comfort zone for this one, I usually don't mix circle, squares, rectangles and papers all in one card - but...I have seen so many other layouts using a variety of colors and shapes I thought I would give it a try and....it did all come together and did turn out quite nice!!!  Love the Doodle Pantry Crescent Moon ants released this month - what a fun image to work with, and I already have someone to send it too.  This image is FREE - yes FREE and you can download it now if you hurry before August 15.  Make sure you post using the InLinkz button and post it to Doodle Pantry Blog.

DPDC26 August 10, 2012

Float yer Goat Digi image from Doodle Pantry, Bazzill red cs, printed DP from Doodle Pantry, nesties spellbinders, balloon punch MS corner punch Fiskars, twine from the twinery

I couldn't believe when one of the new releases this month for Doodle Pantry was a GOAT - and - we had a special request from Chemo Card angels from a patient that loved goats.  How perfect was the timing on this one.  Started out making a Z-fold card but the more I played with it it became a "modified easel card of sorts", anyway it works and fits in an A2 envie.  Precolor (love) just had to match up some solid cs with the DP that came with the set.  I am thinking this will bring a smile of encouragement to my patients face.

August 8, 2012 DILL

Little Miss Muffet Digi "Dill", copic markers, spellbinders Nesties, DCWV DP, black and white cs, note book paper, cuttlebug edge folder, SU ticket punch,  page pebble

This is my first digi image from Little Miss Muffet Digis , DILL, and he is getting ready to return to school.  I picked up a DP from DCWV called Grade School stack and it has some really cute bright papers.  I needed a "anchor bg" so I copied a piece of notepaper then used a new edgeability from Cuttlebug and embossed a ruler image and it turned out to be just the look I was going for.  Love how his jeans turned out, colored with copic then took a piece of jeans pocket (from a pair of jeans that no longer fit) sprayed blender solution on the piece of jean and pressed it into the jean image.  Added a page pebble that I had in my stash and done.

August 5, Elmo

This simple cute birthday card is CASED - and done entirely with punches and is ever so easy.  We have a great nephew having his 1st birthday next week and his mom is having a Sesame Street theme party so I thought this would be a great card for him.  Fun to make easy to make and will be fun to give.  May have to tuck something green in the envie too!!!

TAC "How Swell" AMuse Studio CS, Memento ink, copic markers, Spellbinders nesties

My dear granddaughter Paige is expecting her first baby in Feb. 2013 (which seems like a long time away), she and Rusty are going to make such good parents.  I have had this TAC set for many years and it always comes in handy and is my go to set when I make a Mom-to-be card.  I paper pieced heroutift, hat and purse and colored her skin tones with copics.  Inside is a "coupon" for lunch and a new maternity outfit.

August 1, 2012 1 stamp 3 ways

Hampton Arts cling stamp - Hot Fudge Studios, assst. cs, and papers, MS punches

Last week I spent the night stamping and being creative with my stamping bud Donna - (she introduced me to stamping many years ago).  This stamp is so versatile and looks so different depending on the layout.  Enjoyed the afternoon and evening and came home with lots of new cards to send out.
