July 29, Get together Part 2

Here are the next 3 cards we made at Donna's house last week - and I loved them all.  In fact I have several in various stages of creation on my desk now so I can put them together.  We learned new fun techniques that we had either tried (like ages ago with the shaving cream) or had seen but not tried.  I always helps when creative minds get together!!!  (PS mine was the last one using all AMuse products doing the starburst technique.)

July 27, 2013 Mr. Monkey

Saw that I had almost missed a birthday for a chemo buddy who loved monkeys and I thought of Mr. Monkey because he is just so darned cute and when you use the precolored version here  and since I had the yellow cs which matched the bananas perfectly on the digi paper that comes with the set it was easy peasy to put it together.  I love love love the new wink of Stella brush glitter pens and I just got one in yellow and so I colored in DAY and although it does not show in this picture it has a real sparkle.  Put a little pkg. of stickers in with his card and off it went fingers crossed that he will get it on his birthday.

July 26, 2013 Stamping Get together part 1

What a fun day we had last week - 4 of my bestie stamping friends and a new one "Regina" all met at one of my BFFs Donna house in Lake St. Louis and we each took a project to share, Donna has a beautiful lake front home and her room overlooks the lake.  We broke for a great lunch of chicken salad, ships and a yummy dessert that Donna's Mom made, then back upstairs to finish projects and then the drive back home.  I am sharing 3 of the projects today - the first 2 are from Donna T and the third one is from Donna's Mom Marian.  (PS:  she has adopted me as her second daughter).  Donna's mom is an amazing lady and we all love to spend time with her, plus the fact that she raised an amazing daughter too!!!

July 24, 2013 Prima Dolls

Yesterday my friend Patti J. and partner in "crime"  raced up highway 55 to a cute little scrapbook store The Stamp Pad in Kimmswick MO. to take a tag class in these adorable dolls.  Who can resist playing with dolls whether you are 7 or 67!!  It was so much fun to color and dress these beauties up and of course they were "forsale" after the class so we could make them at home.  Who came home with a couple - well that would be me!!.   We did have a fun day - lunch, shopping and then the class.  Tomorrow we are going to TX. to get our sweet CoCo dog and I am so anxious to get to meet her.  Will post pics when we get back.

I filled an assignment from Chemo Angels to be a card angel to a senior lady that "loves flowers" and who doesn't love the these beautiful Poppies from Doodle Pantry - I used the red precolored image as I wanted to get my new buddy a card in the mail tomorrow morning.  I always keep a box of "goodies" to send with my cards and I found a very pretty hankie with poppies on it so I was able to slip it in the envelope also, so I hope she likes her little giftie.  

July 20, 2013 Old Wheelbarrow

I needed a pick me up card to send to a friend and this popped in my mind - it is from Doodle Pantry here  and comes colored and black/white - I used the black/white and paperpieced the wheelbarrow in woodgrain cs from AMuse studio, then colored the wheel with pencil and glitter pen, mounted it again on a scrap of woodgrain cs and the the digi papers that are included in the set.  I think this will be a pick me up for my friend.

July 18, 2013 Kitty Sympathy

My Husband's niece lost her beautiful white kitty - "CLOUD".  She had gotten him when he was just a kitty and he was really a she and was deaf but she kept this kitty and loved him to pieces.  Just a CAS card to let her know that furbabies are a part of your family and we were thinking of her.
