Wonder and Joy

This is my 1st attempt at an "out of the box" technique using Labels 1 nestie. There is surely room for improvement and I have a couple more stamped and ready to color and cut so hopefully there will be improvement. I had so much fun making this card - thanks to my friend Pat who came over the other day and we did a little stamping together. I colored my little girl with copic markers, shaded the sky and shelf with a sponge and a q-tip in the tight spots. Used my ek success punch for the top border. I love using flowers, buttons and scrappers floss so I thought this would make this card complete. The saying is from a hostess set from Serendipity 10 but it was again perfect for this card. I think this will go to dear granddaughter this week.

Diggity Dog

Bella dog is going for a BATH (I have to spell it quietly as she hates the word)!!! I always make a thank you card for her groomer Megan with a little tip inside and she proudly displays them on her bulletin board. I used 2 retiring sets - Diggity Dog and Bears and Bubbles, paper I had in my stash by Paper Studio and nesties label 10 and on the inside I used Forget your troubles in a tub of bubbles from Bears and Bubbles.

Summer Boys

My friend Suzanne
sent me some stamped images of TAC Summer Boys and I colored the little guy playing baseball with my Copic markers (love those markers). I had bought some baseball scrap paper from our LSS O'Dears and knew this would work perfect for this image. I used a greeting that is retired, but it was perfect for this card. I am thinking my little Chemo Angel guy is going to like this one also, he just might get a couple of "special cards" in the mail this week.

Skateboard Boy

Once again my friend Pat let me stamp a couple of The Greeting Farm image of this darling skateboarding guy. As soon as I saw him I knew my little guy I correspond with for chemo Angels would like him. I used some Basic Grey papers that TAC used to carry years ago - I know I don't get rid of "anything". It was perfect for this card. I did a simple gatefold card cute the boy out with nesties, colored him with Copics, and used a very light gray for my card base. Thanks for looking.

Quick Wedding Card

We have a wedding to go to next Sat. and I wanted a one-of-a-kind card but it had to be quick. I had shared a pack of black/white mat stack paper from DCWV with my friend Pat (we do that a lot) and decided a black and white card would be very elegant/formal looking. I used my Creative Memories wavy cutter to cut the flap on top, put the two "opposites" of black/white roses on the front of the card, held together with a belly band. Off to dig in my "stashed" flower collection and found a black/white polka dot flower - perfect , a little bling in the center with a white pearl and three black pearls on the bottom of the belly band. I used a congrats greeting from TACs Trendy Greetings and card complete. Well almost - gotta to slip some GREEN in the card!!!

You're a Winner

Just a cute simple card for my little chemo angel guy - on his profile he is a Boston Red Sox fan so I am so glad I saved this "retired" TAC set. It is perfect for him. I used my octagon nesties which I thought were perfect for the image and the saying. Embossed the image and saying in white. Used a cuttlebug embossing folder. Quick and easy.

Wedding Blog Hop

For this months blog hop over at Paper Wings our theme is weddings. Here is what I came up with for the hop. I did a Save the Date with the cowboy boots colored with prisma pencils and OMS, cut out and pop dotted on an oval left blank with the stars cuttlebug embossing folder around the boots. I highlighted the stars with a bit of burnt umber ink. For a little authentic western feel I tied a piece of rawhide (shoestring) and put it in between the boots. I did use a "retired" but cherished stamp for the save the date. My 2nd card is a wedding card for an upcoming wedding that we are to attend. I made this an A6 size card and use DP More Mimi and felt flowers for the embellishments. The only stamping required was the Congrats stamp from Trendy greetings. Enjoy and hop on over to see the rest of the wedding ideas.

Graphic Blooms

I have been "blurfing" and ran across this blog in which she simply stamps!!! Her blog is Simplicity and I really like her style. I needed a quick thank you card this pm and thought I would try to "sort of" duplicate a simple card so here is my attempt. This is a far stretch from my usual style and is pale in comparison to Simplicity but it was a quick fun card to make. I used Graphic Blooms in Reflection Blue and Chartreuse put a bling in the center of each, did a couple of score-pal lines to break it a bit. For my thanks I ran across a Stampendous clear stamp in my stash and it just worked perfect for this card. I like how it totally fit across the bottom of a 5 1/2 in. card. Let me know what you think.

Fairytale Fun

This is an idea I saw over at Stamp-TV and I adapted it to TAC stamps. I used my new labels 7 nestabilities which sort of looks like an open book, especially after I scored a line down the middle. I left the die in place, sponged ballet blu on the inside and then used our script stamp to appear as if it was the text. I used our cute little prince frog from Fairytale Fun, colored him with copics and glitter pens cut him out with the scallop nesties and pop dotted him in the middle of the page. I then decided to add a bookmark ribbon down the middle just to add a bit of color. The words are from a very old retired set but it worked perfect for this card.

Cowboy Boots

I have been a Chemo Angel for 2 years now and this time I have a little boy - he just turned 8 so it has been fun making "little boy" cards and I thought he would like this one with the cowboy boot. It was fun to color - colored with prisma colored pencils and OMS then cut out and pop dotted on ovals from nesties. I chose the "just like Dad" DP collection cause I really like the boy colors it offers. Hope my little guy likes the card as I had a ball coloring it. Thanks Suzanne for sending me some boy images.

Little Bird

For some reason this card appears to be on ivory or beige cs and it is really white - need some photo tips here. I liked the simplicity of this card, just a bit of coloring the leaves and bird, shaded in the notes a bit. For the embellishment I used some gingham ribbon with a flower and small brad, I think it just completed the card. I am thinking this stamp set Little Bird might have some more possibilities.

Joy of Easter - Confirmation card

Had a friend ask me to make a confirmation card for her granddaughter, my first thought was the precious little girl from Joy of Easter, only thing I didn't want her holding the chicken. I punched out a small butterfly in gold and it looks like it is ready to fly from her hands. For this card I chose white on white with dotted swiss cuttlebug for the background. I stamped the little girl on our labels 4 nestabilities (I use this die set so much), I cut the tag from stampbilities fancy tags. Edge the label and tag with our stardust clear jelly pen. Colored the girls hair and skin with copics. I paperpieced her dress after I ran it through the dotted swiss cuttlebug. A sheer white bow and card complete. I hope my friend will be happy.

Flower Collage Trio

I "cased" this idea from someone and I can't remember who so if you are out there please let me know. WOW IRL this card really pops but is rather hard to see the true effect on a flat plane. The image was stamped twice, then the flowers, stems and leaves are colored then Crystal Lacquer was applied to the flowers and leaves. I know for card makers it is hard to let anything sit overnight but this needs to be totally dry before you trim with the Kai mini scissors. Pop dot the flowers and leaves on top of the original image, add a bit of color to the other flowers in the collage and you have one of those wow cards. I used the decorative corner punch for just a little extra. Hope everyone has a Happy and Blessed Easter.

Awesome Blossoms

I was "rearranging" my craft supplies yesterday and ran across some Shrinky Dink sheets so I decided to make some embellishments for my cards. My granddaughter loved this stuff when she was here last summer. I punched out the flowers using a flower punch and colored with copic markers - love those things. For the card I used Awesome Blossoms and Brillance Ink. I cut the label for the greeting from Large Labels and used the Happy Birthday from Savvy Greetings. I tied my little flowers on a sheer ribbon and tied it around the card. I think it turned out rather cute!!!
