July 28, 2018 New Home Card

One of my besties and her husband just bough a house "in town", meaning in the city limits.  They lived just a short distance from town on ten acres with a 3,000 square foot house, out buildings and a spectacular view.  When they saw this house on the market they decided to downsize.  I love love love their new home,, about 5 minutes from me and just perfect for them to "grow old" in.
I have an old city map of our town so I photo copied their street, marked it with a small red dot on kraft card stock.  Then I used a Taylored Expressions stamp set with die for my focal image.  I then typed in their name and address for the hanging sign on the post - cut it out using the die cut and glued it on.  My hubby made them a turntable for their kitchen table which I forgot to take a picture of - bad me.  They loved their turntable and card.

July 25, 2018 Anything Goes

For the final week of July the challenge over at   The House that Stamps Built  is Anything Goes, so that leaves the challenge wide open.  I usually send out a few July 4th cards and this was one I made for this year.  I used 3705-J God Bless America.  A while back I had received some ephemera (little girl and the dog) images and the little girl just reminded me of patriotism in the 30's and 40's - so I went with it.  I had some DP from last 4th of July - so always good to save those scraps.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Anything Goes  as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

If you look on my right side bar I also have a discounted coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.

July 20, 2016 100 Days to Brave and Beautiful You

Every two weeks there are a circle of friends that meet at Paneras for Cuppa  and a Card hosted by our SU demonstrator.  Last week we used these two SU sets Crafting Forever and Beautiful You - well I  came home and made another one as I sent the one we made out the very next days.  So simple but love the message.

This is a devotional study that my church is sponsoring for an online FB study - we have abut 200 women doing the study - and our leader is so dynamic and  inspirational. Jessica encourages to post to not only the FB group but to our blog as well.  This devotional has been an inspiration in my faith - especially with my shoulder surgery.  Since I am still sleeping in a recliner post-op coffee first and then my devotional second each morning.  Annie Downs is such a woman of faith as well as inspirational.  I am so happy I could join this group.

July 18, 2018 Inspiration Photo

This week over at The House that Stamps Built  our challenge was to use the photo inspiration and/or colors.  I went with the colors - I had the idea already then went looking in my stash for some BG papers, nothing there so it just so happens that Hobby Lobby is less than 5 minutes from my house (not good) and when I saw this piece of designer I knew that was my choice.  And the best part it was 50% off!!!  I used 9304-L Martini glass and the sentiment 9505-E Happpy Hour.  Now I'm not a martini drinker - well maybe just one of the fancy ones like a lemon twist or an appletini but not the original.  Just give me the olive.  I colored my image with some spectrum glitter brushes and copics, fussy cut the glass and popped it up a bit.  Martinis are served on a coaster so the doily is my coaster.  This was a fun challenge and hope you enjoy.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Inspiration Photo/Colors  as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

July 11, 2018 Tic-Tac-Toe

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Tic-Tac-Toe
challenge which has become one of my favorite challenges.  Lots of possibilities with this one.  I choose to go with food, fun fold and paper piecing.

I used 7504-W Calories Flip Set as well as using the the flip fancy die set
Die Set  to add some dimension as well as with this die set there is no guess work, you know everything is going to be cut to size and work as it should to make a waterfall card.

I had some cute DP that my friend Sally had given me and I made great use of the bananas print to go with the banana split card.  This is such a fun card to make.  They were very popular a few years ago but in my book they have made a fun comeback.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Tic- Tac Toe  as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

July 4, 2018 Designer Choice

Happy 4th of July to everyone - hope you are enjoying some time off with friends and family.

This week is our designer choice and our designer Heather has chosen for us to do The Great Outdoors at The House that Stamps Built.  I thought this scene depicted pure pleasure and relaxation, using the stamp 2905-G Canoeing as well as the pretty 2722-I Cattails, and pairing this scene up with the sentiment
6526-E Simple Pleasures.  I used some oxide distress inks to make my background -   so easy to blend, and put a moon in the sky so it looks like he is going for an early moonlight canoe ride.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  The Great Outdoors,   as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.
