February 27, 2019 Anything Goes

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Anything Goes - always one of my favorites as you can use any stamp - no theme to follow - just use your imagination.
I saw this design on Pinterest - but can't find it again but remembered enough that I could "case" it.  Love the yellow and green combo - it is so bright and cheery - I used 9724-G Happy Frog, for my sentiment I used 3916-F  Celebrating You - from our birthday collection.  I think this could be used for really any special day.  I colored up the frog with copic markers in greens and his tummy in yellow.  I used a cross stitch die cut to cut the frog and my sentiment.  I also had a cross stitch embossing folder which I used for my white piece on the inside of the card.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  anything goes  -  and  as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

If you look on my right side bar I also have a discounted coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.
Now why not take a look at our DT Rock Stars for inspiration and to get you started.

February 20, 2019 Inspiration Challenge

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our weekly challenge is the photo inspiration.  This one was a challenge for me "until" I had this idea.  The photo inspiration reminded me of a colorful celebration so I went with that in mind.  I used 9014M Fireworks and the sentiment 1812E Hurray.. and used primarily the colors in the photo inspiration.  I used markers tocolor the fireworks different colors as well as the letters in the sentiments.  I think it makes a colorful happy "congrats" card which I will use for a chemo buddy when they graduate.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of Inspiration Photo and  as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

February 13, 2019 Tic-Tac-Toe

This week over at The House that Stamps Built it is Tic-Tac-Toe which is one of my favorite challenges.  I went with the vertical middle challenge using vellum, embossing and pearls.

I used Valentine as my theme for this challenge as tomorrow is Valentines Day.  I embossed in black on vellum 1201-I Be Mine and 4316-I Flowering Hearts and then colored the Flowering Hearts image on the back with Tombow markers.  I used a couple of fancy die cuts to cut out the image, then attached my vellum image with glue dots, which I covered with pretty pearls.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Tic-Tac-Toe and  as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

February 11, 2019 POTW - Valentine Hearts

This week  at The House that Stamps Built, it is my turn to do a project of the week.
This quick and easy Valentine greeting is "full" of goodies and quick and easy to make.  If you have some foil wrapped chocolate hearts then you can make a few of these before LOVE day.  I will "reveal" what is inside at the end of my post.

First the supplies are everything that most of us have on hand.

I chose two stamps to use with my project, 1204-I LOVE, and I thought the
219-C Love Letter went very well with this project.  As you can see the supplies are very basic. You will need a piece of kraft card stock measuring 6 1/4 x 5 1/2, score on the 6 1/4in side at 2 3/4 and 3 1/2, fold score lines both mountain folds.  You will need a piece of coordinating card stock measuring 5 in x 2 5/8 for you to stamp on.  You will need a piece of ribbon about 12 in. long, and oh 3 yummy chocolate hearts.  These are Reese's Peanut Butter hearts (my hubby's favorite).

I dug around in my tool drawer and found my stamp position tool  (yes I still use this tool.) I stamped it once on the acrylic piece that comes with this tool and then using that as my guide I stamped the LOVE a total of three times lining it up pretty close.  I then decided where I wanted my ribbon and made just a small pencil mark and then random stamped the love letter on the bottom.

I added my ribbon with glue dots and added some black splatters - I like red, white, kraft and black combination.

Oh I think I said I would show you what was on the inside well here is the card opened.  I used some double sided foam tape to hold my chocolate hearts inside.  I can assure you they won't be there very long.

Why not grab some supplies and make a couple of these before Valentine Day.  A trip to the store for chocolate hearts and you have a card and a giftie.

February 6, 2019 Designer Choice

This week over at The House that Stamps Built is the first weekof February which means it is Designer Choice.  Our Designer this is month is Heather and she choose for us to do red or pink.  I guess I kind of used both  but really like the end result.  This Valentine will go to dear daughter as she loves tulips. I used 1317-L Vase of Tulips, which I colored the tulips as well as the vase i=with copic markers.  I had a sheet of stripped  red/pink/tan which I thought wen well with my coloring.  Base card I used a sheet of DP card stock from my stash.

Card opened to you can see the full sheet of colors.

This is the inside of my card - you see my card was a "card within a card" - and I used 1134-E Valentine.  I decorated the card with some punched hearts punched out of pink and then glossy accents on top.  Still have to decorate the envelope

so I used 1218-H Heart Balloon .   Another Valentine all ready to go in the mail.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of use pink/and or red   -  and  as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.
