The House that Stamps Built Challenge - Anything Goes

Where has February gone, seems like it was a COLD month - we had two weeks of 20 and below the middle of February plus ice and snow.  A lot of time to "craft" in the warmth of inside.  This week at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Anything Goes.

Our Rock star Joy  did a Pick of the week  February 8. 2021 using our Hello stamp sheet, so I thought I would follow her inspiration and make one of my own.

Using plate 10300 Flower Power Separates and plate 9900 Hello series I first blocked off the center with some post it notes so I could stamp my flowers/leaf on the top andd bottom in various colors of ink. After removing the post it notes I then used friend and Hello from the Hello series plate in black versafine ink in the middle.  I decided to mount this on a black layer and then on a premade black dotted note card.  I had some thin washi tape that matched the blackdots perfectly so I put that on the top and bottom to frame out the hello friend.  This card is in my stash for when I need that "just because" card.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Anything Goes So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of  Anything

Turner Syndrome

This is the 3rd annual blog hop and card challenge for the Turner Syndrome .  There are lots of pretty cards and inspiration from the design team as well as the many cards entered in the card challenge.  Below is my card:

I used a darling image from Picket Fence Studio which also has a die that you can purchase.  I colored her with copic markers, die cut the image out using a spellbinder die and layered it on an embossed panel.  A few splatters on the layer (after masking the little girl), some sparkle on the bubbles and then  DREAM page bubble on the right side.

Go check out the blog hop - some designers have some very nice prizes - as well as check out the cards that have been entered.

The House that Stamps Built - Get Well

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Get Well.  How appropriate during this time of Covid, as well as sniffles, and the old fashioned flu.

This is one of my favorites as it used a teddy bear as well as a cat which are both my favorite images.  1602-P Feline Friendly  and The sentiment 4033-F Feline Better.  I kept this pretty simple and cut out the focal image with a stitched die and then cut the frame  out of brown to frame it out.  I added a gray and white bakers twine ribbon at the top right corner and a few blings to cover up a couple of "oops".  Don't you ever wonder how just a little bit of ink on a finger etc. can totally ruin a card - well that is what bling is for.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Get Well So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of  Get Well.

The House that Stamps Built - LOVE

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is LOVE.  Well with Valentine Day coming up in just a few days, I had grandkids Valentines made and mailed but nothing for hubby.  So here is my card for him.

One of my "goals this year was to use stamps that have never seen ink and to use from my vast supply of papers, embellishments etc.  Well I did both on this card.  I used 1223-J Cupid Bear and the sentiment 1201-I Be Mine which I just used the Be Mine portion of the stamp.

Isn't he cute - colored up with copics and used a terrycloth snippet to texturize him.  He is mounted on a Valentine print heart layered with a pink heart. On the sentiment I used two small pink heart for embellishments as well as a fancy label punch which worked perfectly.  Background paper was some that I found in my stash that was designed several years back by a dear Angel friend.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Love So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Love

The House that Stamps Built Designer Choice Challenge

Oh my gosh where did January go???  So the first Wednesday of the month over at The House that Stamps Built  our Designer Laurie Unger chose the picture below.

Here is what I came up with, when I saw the picture I thought of Home - and nothing reminds me home more than a nice comfortable easy chair and usually a book.  Doesn't my chair look comfy???

As my base layer I used some whitewashed woodgrain paper.  Then I went to work on the stamps.  I choose 10500 Ovals and Round  Frames  which is a set of 6 oval and round in various sizes for framing which is what I did on this card.  For my focal image I used 2628-H Comfy Chair which I paper pieced with some pretty plaid paper.  3922-G Home Sweet Home  I think will work for a Just Because, or Thinking of you card.  Just give me a book and that chair and I'll be happy.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of photo  inspiration  So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of  Photo Inspiration.
