June 27, 2018 Anything Goes

This is the last week of the month over at The House that Stamps Built  so our challenge is Anything Goes, which is my second favorite challenge - second only to the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge.  I had been playing with my stencils and had used a gear stencil for the background - I also had some gear die cuts that went perfect with the background - and then I thought 9120-M Harley and the sentiment 9108-G Born to be Wild were the perfect image to use.  I have been "eyeing" the Harley for a while and I finally decided it needed to be in my Repeat Impressions collection.  I embossed the Harley in black embossing powder and then fussy cut it.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Anything Goes. The sky is the limit with this challenge you can see there are a lot of possibilities .  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

If you look on my right side bar I also have a discounted coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.
Now why not take a look at our DT Rock Stars for inspiration and to get you started.

June 22, 2018 - Tulips

Love the Tulips from SU - in fact have used them in several cards lately - and I think they have been discontinued.  But that doesn't mean I won't continue to use them.  The basket is kraft cardstock using the basket weave embossing folder for the basket.  You're awesome is an Amuse sentiment stamp but it just fit on the basket.  Another one to add to my Chemo Angels basket.

June 20, 2018 Inspiration Challenge

This week over at The House that Stamps Built  our challenge was to use either the picture and/or colors to make our creation.  I choose to use the beautiful rose wreath 101-P Rose Heart Wreath - coloring the roses yellow - for the sentiment banner I used 1807-F I'm so glad which I stamped and embossed on vellum - then after punching out the sentiment I curled it a bit with a pencil and using some pretty yellow glitter dots held it in place across the wreath.  I use some water color blue which I watered down and flocked on with a paint brush.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Inspiration Palette.  As you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

June 15, 2018 Rose

Another beautiful magazine addition a couple of months ago - this is a three part die from Altenew which I think is so pretty.  I didn't put a sentiment on this card as it is one that I will add the sentiment for the occasion. It all goes together so beautifully - and with the pink doily it works perfect.

June 13,2018 Tic-Tac-Toe

Oh my favorite challenge  over At The House that Stamps Built  - Tic-Tac-Toe - and with this month being Fathers Day I decided to go with the first line across.  I used 2913-I Hammock and 1138-E Happy Fathers Day.

For my tone on tone image of the hammock I embossed in clear embossing powder on Kraft card stock.  I stamped Happy Father's Day under the trees and then die cut the focal image using a fishtail stitched die mounted on dark brown fishtail die.  I needed some ribbon or twine so I used this dark brown edged in darker brown ribbon at the bottom of the card.  Since I really need 2 Father's Day cards - son-in-law (hammock card) and grandson-in-law (boot print) I made another card.

June 8, 2018 Happy Summer Flamingo

Surprise - another fun card - you see I prescheduled a few fun cards while I recover from my shoulder surgery.  I going to physical surgery (grueling) but coming right along.  I have had this flamingo in my NBUS and decided to get her out and play with her before I had my surgery.  I think she turned out cute - just popped her up on some "pool party" SU card stock, and then used SU designer paper that I had in my stash.  This will go to my chemo buddy once I get back to writing her.

June 6, 2018 DCC Challenge Summer Vacation

This week at The House that Cards Built our designer Esther choose for us to make a card using the theme Summer Vacation.  The peaceful scene was created using Large Palm Tree 2408-N  Palm Frond Silhouette 5120-K  along with the comfortable inviting Adirondack chair 3415-I.  I used a piece of designer paper that already had the peaceful sand, water, and sky printed so I stamped the images on the DP, scattered a couple of tiny shells to look like the beach and then added a bit of texture using my score board and tool at the bottom of the card.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Summer Vacation.  As you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

June 1, 2018 Duck Birthday Card

Another birthday card - I got this set in a UK stamping magazine at Barnes and Noble a couple of weeks ago and loved the frog and duck.  Now I am trying to decide which card to give to my pastor for his 60th birthday - the duck or the frog which I posted last week.  I think they are both just too cute.  Colored the duck with copic markers, fussy cut him out and put a wobble spring on the back of him and looks like he is jumping out of the puddle.  Such a fun stamp set.
I'm thinking I will go with the duck??? or no maybe the frog???
