The House that Stamps Built - Happy New Year

Can you believe that it is the last post for 2021 over at The House that Stamps Built.   Where has the year gone - another year with Covid, inflation, births, and losses.  Praying that 2022 will be better for all of us.

My last card for the year is to celebrate the New Years -

I kept it simple and used - 10615-I time to celebrate - and the image is from 3811-H champagne bottle.  I embossed both the sentiment and the image in gold - die cut 2022 with a number die cut set and then some gold splatters to add just a bit of bling to the card.  This was a fun and easy card to make - in fact I made a few more to send out to some friends to welcome in the new year.

Wishing you and your friends and family a Happy and Blessed New Years.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of  New Year ny possibilities   on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Happy New Year.

Favorite Technique - The House that Stamps Built

This final week before Christmas over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge was to use our favorite technique.

One of my favorite techniques is paper piecing so I used 905-L angel - and for my sentiment I used 6523-D Heaven and Earth
I had some pretty pink/green DP what I thought went very well with my angel so I used that to accent my focal image.  Have to add a bit of bling and what a pretty card.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of  favorite technique.  so many possibilities   on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of use favorite technique.

Using your Words - the House that Stamps Built

What a fun December this has been over at The House that Stamps Built  - having the option to make Christmas cards for all the challenges.  And here is another one - our challenge was to use words as the focal image so I used 2108-H JOY as my focal point with words.

I had a world globe die which I die cut and used as well all layered on world map DP, vs. Christmas DP.  I think it worked.  Great masculine Christmas card.  Well I couldn't stop with just one so I made another using 3814-K ornament stamped randomly on my white card, then 1141-F Christmas  was stamped in the middle of the ornament.  I cut the Merry Christmas in two so I could stamp the words vertical - but can always mount them together for horizontal.  A little red bling to dot the i in Christmas and colored the ornament with a gold pen. CAS - which is not usually my style.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of  Words as a focal point..  so many possibilities    challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Words as a focal point.

POTW Use pattern paper - The House that Stamps Built

I love pattern paper - well I guess I could be called a collector (or hoarder) of pretty papers.  Our challenge this week over at The House that Stamps Built is to use pattern paper.  My only decision was to decide which papers.

I used this pretty poinsettia stamp 2012-H Large Poinsettia  which I stamped and colored twice.  I fussy cut the flower out then just the top layer which is the layer I popped up using small pop dots.  Added two leaves 10315- Leave Outline Wavy under the poinsettia and for my sentiment I used 1141-F Christmas. I had two beautiful poinsettia papers that complimented each other, and if you look closely no bling on this one.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of  pattern papers.  so many possibilities   on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of use pattern papers.

POTW using scraps -The House that Stamps Built

Wow - December - and I'm still working on Christmas cards.  Here at The House that Stamps Built  we have several designers that love to use up their scraps - and I am one of those designers.  So my POTW is using up some of those scraps.  Since I didn't have Christmas cards done I went with a Christmas theme so lets gather the scraps and punch.

I even used a scrap to stamp my focal image - 2623-K Bear Banner.  This is a stamp I have had for a while and thought it would make a good Christmas stamp with the message stamped in the banner.  I stamped and colored the bear with copic markers and added some texture with a wash cloth.

I fussy cut the bear/banner out and chose a saying that would fit in the banner portion.  I used 8810-H Snow Much Fun - I arranged my punched out scraps on my colored layer.  I used some repositionable tape to hold them in place until I got an arrangement that I thought was eye appealing.  Then I used permanent tape runner to place them permanently.

I then popped up my Bear using pop dots, and a small bling in the small snowflake.  A few scattered snowflakes completed the card.

While I had the punch out I found some more traditional scraps and made another card using the same Bear Banner but a different sentiment 1105-E Thinking of You

So get out some scraps and a punch or die and make a couple of cards.

Non Traditional Christmas - The House that Stamps Built

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is to make a card using non traditional Christmas card.  I have seen a few pink/orange combinations for Christmas and really liked the way it came out.  So for my card

I used 8905-I Snowflake Orb stamped on white card stock and then blended orange and pink oxide inks - If I was to make this again I would have put the blended inks on a piece of white card stock then stamped in a nice crisp black ink.  I have had a ad of water color papers that had pink and orange which I used for my layer.  I die cut a bow and the word joy and used them on my card as well.  Finished it off with pink and orange bling.  I may try and do another if I have time.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of non- traditional Christmas colors.  so many possibilities   on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of non traditional Christmas colors.
