Embossed challenge - Wet or Dry The House that Stamps Built.

This week over at The House that Stamps Built  our challenge is to make a project using either wet or dry embossing or both.  I choose to do both.

I went with a Cuttlebug embossing folder of Happy Birthday for my dry embossing and then I used 7207-W Cake flip Set and just used the last cake stamp as my focal image.  I cut a frame to go around the focal image using some fun confetti birthday papers and then I made a frame around the whole card.  I enjoy using the flip sets as individual stamps.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Embossed - wet or dry So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Embossed - wet or dry.

May 24, 2021 Favorites The House that Stamps Built

It is my turn to post over at The House that Stamps Built  a Monday favorite - well I couldn't pick just one favorite so I narrowed it down to one - in fact how about three???

I truly can't remember the date that I became part of the Repeat Impressions DT - but I do remember the panic I felt that I wouldn't be good enough to be a part of this talented DT.  Well that was a few years ago and I am still designing and I hope that, Wendy,  our owner of Repeat Impressions has seen some improvement along the way.

I remember in my first order of stamps I received 8101-L Bulldog as I already had an idea in mind.

And I think it is still "one" of my favorite cards.

Favorite#2

When I first started working with Repeat Impressions Stamps I was immediately drawn to the collection of Teddy Bears.  This one is so much fun to work with - - 701-K Belle, paired with the sentiment 1105-E Thinking of You.

And for my final favorite #3 is:

which is a fun bit snarky congrats card.  I used 10632-I Toilet Tissue and for the sentiment I used a combination of two - 10609-F Married and 10618-K Taking the plunge .  I had some digi print toilet tissue paper in my stash and then went with the over/under  roll and die cut letters his/her.

I said I would limit it to three but that doesn't even begin to cover all of my favorites.  Such a broad selection to choose from with Repeat Impressions Stamps that I am never at a loss for what to create.

Baby Shower Card

I attended a baby shower last weekend - and I just learned how to make the cube card (thanks Patti), so here is the card I made to go with my gift.

This is really a fun card to put together - (if you follow instructions),, and can be adapted to any occasion.  I wanted the cube to look like baby blocks - and after I finished the card I realized I had letters that would have probably looked like real baby blocks but theses were already glued on.  On the back I die cut and embossed a baby giraffe and used two tiny eyes. I put my sentiment on the long side of the cube as did my giraffe.  Then I die cut letters of the baby's name which will be Hunter.  I got a lot of oo's and ahhh's.  Included an Amazon gift card that I printed off here at home and gift and card complete.

The Birds and the Bees Challenge The House that Stamps Built

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is The Birds and or Bees.  I choose to go with the Bee theme.

This is an open book easel card that I had watched a video on a couple of weeks ago.  I had an "older" set of Spellbinders dies and that is what I used on this card. It is very easy to replicate without the dies.  I used 9308-C Bee  and 9312-D Just Bee-Cause  as my first page of my open book.  I had some bee papers in my stash which worked perfect for this card and as my easel stop I used some wooden bees that were in my stash as well.  Since I have made this card I have made a couple more open book easel card as they are so much fun to make.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of The Birds and the Bees So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of The Birds and the Bees.

Miss You

A couple of weeks ago a friend came over for a craft and play date - she really pampered my doggies so I sent her a card to let her know of their appreciation.  They got extra hugs, attention, and treats.  Here is the card.

I love this fold - so fun and easy to make as well.  If you can read any of this - yes my oldest dog CoCo had a bit of a gas problem well ok a horrible gas problem, so bad in fact that we kept the room spray sitting on our work table.
My friend got her card and got quite a chuckle out of it.  This set from SU Pampered Pets was just what I needed to make this card.

The House that Stamps Built - Sewing or stitching

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is to use an image you would see in sewing, or we could do anything "stitched" real , drawn in, or die cut.

I had the designer paper with spools in my stash and this was a great opportunity to use it.  I made a tag for my focal image using 3318-B Spool of Thread  and paired it with 9314-E Sew Special.  I stamped the spool of thread on the designer paper spools and fussy cut them out and pasted them on my stamped spools. I did some real machine stitching on the left side of my card - two rows.  Used some ribbon thru my tag and card done.  I think a purse sewing kit and this card would be a nice little giftie for one of my chemo buddies.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Sewing So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Sewing

Mother's Day Cards

I usually send out three Mother's Day cards - one for my dear daughter, one for dear grand daughter and one for a dear dear friend which I will post on my Repeat Impressions blog.  Here are the two for daughter and grand daughter

Not much stamping except for the sentiment on the inside and the bouquet of flowers on the first one.  I had a graphic 45 paper pad in my "stash" and it is divided off by month.  I choose May and it had the perfect sheet with many options for mother's day.  I was able to get 2 cards out of one sheet as the sheets were 8 x 8. The first card used a SU retired bouquet - and I die cut a sheet of velum to go over the focal image.  I'm trying to use some of my "old" stamping supplies and I thought the vellum overlay was perfect.   My second card I made a slide and lock gatefold card - just pullup on the little purple bow and the gatefold opens.

I usually put a little gift with the card as they are both pretty good moms.

The House that Stamps Built - Mother's Day

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is in remembrance of Mother's Day.  My mother passed when I was only 28 and I miss her dearly.  They just don't make them any better than she was.

I have a dear bestie that shares her beautiful, sweet, loving, kind mother with me.  In fact her mom calls me her adopted daughter.  I always send her a Mother's Day card and this year I used  Repeat Impression images.

For this card I used 101-P Rose Heart Wreath , 1137-E Happy Mother's Day , and in the middle I used friend from Plate 9900.  I did some color blocking with three shades of purple card stock, then embossed the image and words in gold.  Simple but I really like how it turned out.  Thanks Donna for sharing your amazing Mother with me.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Mothers Day So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Mothers Day.

Sympathy Card

These are the cards that are difficult to make so I really like to have a couple made and in my stash to go when I do need them.  Seems like I have needed more pet sympathy cards the past few months and I have depleted my supply.  Time to make more.

This is "THAT" paper from Hobby Lobby that is very similar in color and design to a DP that another stamp company has in their catalog.

So not only did I use THAT paper but I cased this card that my friend and team mate on Repeat Impressions made.  Two-fer leaves .  Laurie always has such CAS design - something I struggle with, I always want to add a bit more.  But I do love how this turned out.
