July 18, 2013 Kitty Sympathy

Stamp by Stampcraft Purrty Kitty, Sentiment by The Angel Company, CS Bazzill, Bakers Twine, paw button from my stash, white embossing powder, SU scallop punch

My Husband's niece lost her beautiful white kitty - "CLOUD".  She had gotten him when he was just a kitty and he was really a she and was deaf but she kept this kitty and loved him to pieces.  Just a CAS card to let her know that furbabies are a part of your family and we were thinking of her.

July 15, 2013 Searching

Whimsy and Stars Digi image, Bazzill cs, spellbinders dies, memory box dies, copic markers, flowers from my stash

I have had this sweetie for a couple of weeks but just have not had time to color her up but I think she is just precious and I decided to use her to play a "game" with my little chemo girl who has a birthday coming up in a couple of months.  I thought I would send her some clues to see if she could figure out what her birthday giftie would be.  I love Mabelles digis - they are so sweet both her girl and boy images and this one is no exception.  I think I may have to put her in a padded envie so I don't smusch the flowers!!!

July 13, 2013 Teacup Note

Teacup stamp AMuse Studio, Cuttlebug embossing folders, Spellbinders nesties, copic markers, Distress ink broken china

I got this set Aren't you Sweet from AMUSE STUDIO about 6 weeks ago and had inked it up and stamped and it was laying on my pile of things to color - so the other day I pulled out my copics and decided to color the beautiful teacup in blues with just a touch of pink on the roses.  The technique I used on this card is from TJ Junkie and it is triple embossing - (I still need some practice) but I am ok with the way it turned out.  I am always getting special requests from chemo angels with a note of cheer and on likes quite often it is tea, so perfect card to slip a tea bag into the card and let someone know they are being thought of in thought and prayers.

July 10, 2013 Summer Strawberry

Whipper Snapper Designs Summer Strawberry Stamp, Gina K. Summer Brights DP, Koh-I-Noor pencils with OMS, Bakers Twine

I have had this stamp for well lets just say "many years", in fact a friend that gave it to me has since past - RIP Sue.  When my friend Patti and I went shopping last week in St. Louis we hit Bath and Body sale and they had strawberry hand cream so of course on sale and I bought 2.  I'm thinking need a cute card to go with and I thought of my strawberry stamp, which is a single strawberry but I made a mask and stamped 2,  and colored it with my Koh-I-Noor pencils and OMS.  It was so relaxing and brought back such good memories and fun time with Sue.  On the inside I used another Whipper Snapper Stamp . This is ready with the tube of strawberry handcreme to send to my chemo patient.

July 8, 2013 Starburst Technique

Doodle Pantry Dophin image and DP, Spellbinders circle nesties, bubbles bling, wave punch

This is a "new technique" for me called Sunburst and there is an excellent tutorial here.  I decided to try it with the digi papers that come with the dolphin image and I am pleased with the result.  I am anxious to play with this technique more in the next few days.  I used the dolphin image precolored as I had a request for a  little boys bd and his favorite animal is a dolphin.  Thought it needed just a bit of bling but not to girly so after "searching" for my bubble blings finally found them and added a few here and there.  I have a coloring book of "sea creatures" and a new box of colors to send along with the card.  Challenges:

Totally Gorjuss - anything goes with circles
     Jellypark Challenges - celebrate summer
     Addicted to CAS - water
One Stop Craft - anything goes
Sister Act Challenge - anything goes

July 3, 2013 USA Star

Doodle Pantry image and DP, Spellbinders starburst nesties

Talk about easy peasy - I needed 2 (one for dear granddaughter and 1 for my chemo girl) gift cards to put in a little 4th of July pkg. I was sending them of red/white/blue "stuff".  The boxes I used were small so I couldn't use a standard card so I thought why not make a couple of gift cards.  And the best thing is this image from Doodle Pantry is FREE thru July 4th.  I just took a glitter gel pen and colored in a few of the stars and wrote a short note on the inside and the packages are in the mail.   Challenges:
Simply Challenged - Red, white and blue
Sassy Cheryls - Red, White, and Blue
Digi Darlas - Stars and Stripes
     Kaboodles - Flag colors
     Eureka Stamps - Flag colors
Gingerloft - Red, white, and Blue

Doodle Pantry Lil Roar image and DP, Spellbinders rect. nexties, Hero arts word bubble cie cut, ribbon and button from my stash.

July 1, and another new, spectacular release from Doodle Pantry , with lots of new fun images that will making shopping a difficult one - which ones to choose.  But to help with your decision - Laurie is offering 25% off July releases (with the exception of the the Lil Oz set bundle which is already discounted) from July 1 thru July 7.  To take advantage of this super deal the coupon code is JULY25OFF. For my release image I choose Lil Roar (go check out all the new Wizard of Oz releases), and I knew as soon as I saw it what I was going to do.  I had the perfect ribbon and button to go with the beautiful design paper that comes with the set, and I had just purchased a set from Hero Arts which included a wood bubble die, and isn't the sentiment perfect for a cancer patient or anyone facing challenges.  The set included black/white images for you to color or precolored like I choose because it went so well with my ribbon and solid cs.  This will be in the mail before weeks end to someone needing some encouragement. Entered in challenges:
     Wags'nWhiskers - Cute as a button
Word Art Wednesday - Anything Goes
     QKR Stampede - Anything Goes
