Doodle Pantry Patriotic Turtle, Sentiment Doodle Pantry Liberty Torch, Spellbinders nesties labels #18, Doodlebug stars and stripes papers and bakers twine, crystal stickers from elements elements

Needed a cute 4th of July card to get out to my little chemo patient - I am going to get some red/white/blue fun stuff and make a little package like red gum, blue nail polish, white tic-tacs, etc. and I thought this image was the perfect red/white/blue image to go with the package especially for a young patient.  and...the really big surprise is that ALL PATRIOTIC IMAGES at Doodle Pantry from June 28th thru July 4th are 40% off,  and this image - USA Star is Free - no purchase necessary.   What a nice image to make up some 4th of July cards or OWH cards.

June 27, 2013 Golf Birthday

AMuse stamps, asst. cs, Scor-Pal, ribbon from stash, washi tape, pop dots.

Just a quick card for a long time friend that loves to golf, I thought his bd was in July - oops then I looked and realized I best make a card and get it out tomorrow.  Fun to make.
Had a great day yesterday shopping with a friend, Patti, see she has lost 70 pounds and I had promised her a shopping trip when she lost 50 - well we just never could get 1 day off together so it worked for us yesterday.  She got some new (unmentionables), a cute cute little black dress, I got some orange crops and a cute shirt to go with, then off to Archivers and then a stop at a cute little stamp store in Kimmswick.  I am exhausted and (out of money).

June 25, 2013 Patchwork Star

Doodle Pantry Patchwork Star, Spellbinder circles, brad stars from my stash, HeroArts banner die and stamp set, Palette Ink

Now that I have had both L and R cataracts removed and a corneal abrasion on the L eye returning to normal I am back in my "craft cave " creating again.  The MoJo has been slow to return but working on it.  Using a great Doodle Pantry image Patchwork Star on this card which will be sent to one of my chemo patients for 4th of July.  I had bought the Hero Art banner and stamp set about a month ago and just not used it but I think it worked really well for this layout.  It also has 2 more stamps in the set.  Wednesday one of my besties Patti and I are going to St. Louis Chesterfield Mall (Archivers, Bath Body, Soma) to do some shopping after we both get our hair cut and styled.  I so need a girls day out - has been a rough month so things can get nothing but better.
     CHALLENGES:
Creative Impression Paint - Red, white and Blue
Simply Create Too - Flag colors
The Stamping Chef - Stars and Stripes
         A Simple Five  Anything Goes

June 23, 2013 CAS Card

Spellbinders scallop circle negative image, TAC hummingbird image, Distress Ink Broken China, sequins from my stash, diamond dots from my stash.

I so needed an afternoon in my room - but more than that I needed some MoJo,  well my bestie Donna and another blogger friend Danni  provided my inspiration and a tutorial on some clean and simple ideas and I think it worked very well.  No coloring, just a few sequins and diamond dots and my card is addressed and in the mail to my chemo patient.  I am for sure going to be making some more of this style in the very near future - well maybe even this evening while DH watches the Cardinals ball game!!!

June 22, 2013 Chalkboard Technique

AMuse cs, and Stamp, AMuse white embossing powder, Versamark ink pad, ribbon from Hobby Lobby

This is going to be my "swap" for Technique Junkie this month - we make just one card and must use a TJ technique, I choose the chalkboard technique - (not sure if I really like it) but this image is amazing for this technique.  When paired with all AMuse cs it turned out to be a nice birthday card, hoping my swap buddie enjoys getting this one.

June 19, 2013 Liberty Torch

Doodle Pantry Image and DP, Star brad from my stash, Nesties

With the 4th of July just around the corner I needed to make up a couple of cards to sent to my special chemo patients, and I love this image precolored and the DP goes so well with the image, not much extra needed to make this a "beautiful" card.  I printed the sentiment that came with the set and scored and folded on the score lines and it stands out which I really like, I have a feeling that it will flatten when I mail it but it makes a really nice statement.  Go to Doodle Pantry and check out some new mid month additions that Laurie added to the store.
