August 1, 2017 House of Cards Challenge

When I saw the Challenge for this month at House of Cards and saw that is was floral image and/or colors I did a floral image.  I picked up this stamp set from Darcie over a year ago and it was in my NBUS (never before used stuff) so thought I would play with it n one of our HOT afternoons that we have been having here in southern Missouri.  This card required a LOT of masking - but loved the way it turned out.  Colored with copic markers - added a few sequins for a bit of sparkle and then figured out my layout.  IRL the colors are so much brighter but for some reason this just didn't photograph as well as I wished had.

Come join us for this challenge over at The House of Cards this month - will be looking forward to seeing your creations.

What a pretty card. Nothing better on a hot Midwestern day than to stay inside and create!

Gorgeous card, Shirley! I love your bouquet in a jar, and I can imagine that it took a lot of patience to mask it off while getting everything stamped.

... the work was worth it because these flowers in the glass jar are really gorgeous! I love the background too!
