July 4, 2018 Designer Choice

Happy 4th of July to everyone - hope you are enjoying some time off with friends and family.

This week is our designer choice and our designer Heather has chosen for us to do The Great Outdoors at The House that Stamps Built.  I thought this scene depicted pure pleasure and relaxation, using the stamp 2905-G Canoeing as well as the pretty 2722-I Cattails, and pairing this scene up with the sentiment
6526-E Simple Pleasures.  I used some oxide distress inks to make my background -   so easy to blend, and put a moon in the sky so it looks like he is going for an early moonlight canoe ride.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  The Great Outdoors,   as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

If you look on my right side bar I also have a discounted coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.
Now why not take a look at our DT Rock Stars for inspiration and to get you started.

Such a beautiful, serene scene, like how you brought the cattails down to the bottom of the card for added effect, great blending too!

What a fabulous take on the challenge, Shirley! I love the sponged framed area for the image and the colors you used absolutely say "peaceful" to me. Makes me want to be on a lake right now in my kayak! Great card!
