September 30, 2012 Negative clear stamping
On Monday of last week 4 of us got together and had a "stamping" day - Patti, Donna, Donna's Mom Marian, and me. We went to Marians house each with a shoebox project and this proejct was Pattis. We took clear stamps and put them on the block "backwards or upside down" and stamped a solid image, then we reversed the clear stamp and stamped over the solid image in black. Love the look we came up with - talk about a simple quick easy card that makes a statement. You can also do this all over an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of white cs then cut it into A2 cs size. One more project to go and I will be showing that next week.

September 28, 2012 copic coloring on black
Copic Markers, Black CS, Queen and Co. washi tape, stamp (unknown)
This past Monday I got together with 3 of my best peeps - my friend Donna, Patti, and Donna's sweet Mother Marian and we each had a "shoebox" project - this was Marian's project. She had sent me a birthday card using this same technique and I told her I wanted to know how she did it. Well guess what that was her project, we stamped on black cs with white pigment ink, used white embossing powder then just highlighted with copic markers, I think it makes a really petty card. I added just a bit of color with the washi tape (love that stuff), and of course a bit of bling too!!! Be watching for the other 2 projects real soon.

AMuse Autumn Leaves stamps, K-pad - Autumn Leaves, Amuse CS, asst. bling
On Monday of this week my two besties Donna and Patti spent time with Donna's mother and we had a fun day of stamping and creating. We each had a project all cut and ready to stamp and put together - my project was this card with the Autumn leaves and triple time stamping, it is so much fun and creates a beautiful card. Everyone liked the project a lot. with AMuse cs it is so easy to match colors etc. and it is white on the inside. Had a super lunch that Donna and her mom made and tons of fun. I will be posting the other projects later this week.

September 23, 2012 Hot Rod Pick Up
Doodle Pantry HotRod Pick Up Digi image, Koh-I-Noor pencils, OMS, Spellbinders, Bakers Twine, Basic Grey DP, Spica pen, stitching with sewing machine.
I needed a card for a man in my chemo group that needed a "PICK UP" and I thought this was the perfect image from Doodle Pantry. They always seem to have the perfect image when I am looking for just that right message or image. I colored it with my woodless colour pencils from Koh-I-Noor which I hadn't used in a while - always fun to get out the old supplies. Love my new dies and the stitching added just the right "antique" look. I have way too much papers so i am making a goal to use some of them up and this Basic Grey was a good match for this image.

September 17, Mr. Monkey
Doodle Pantry Image and SP, Leaf punch , MS grass punch, Our Daily Bread fence, Spellbinders Hexagon nesties, pop dots, The Paper Studio woodgrain embossing folder
This image is FREE if you enter the Doodle Pantry Challenge this month by September 24 - and what a cute cute image to work with. I send a lot of kids cards through Chemo Angels and this was perfect as we had a request for a little guy that was going through a difficult time. Always seems like I can find just the right image from Doodle Pantry when I need it. This was such a fun card to make - I knew I wanted a fence (I had just purchased one from the Stamp Expo in August, and I know I will be using this die a lot, I popped it up off the grass to look like he was maybe in a zoo setting. Hexagons are so popular now so this little guy just fit, well almost I had to trim up a leaf and have it "out of the box" just a bit, again the monkey hexagon is popped up. I cut a bigger size hexagon from the front of the card then ran it through the cuttlebug with a "new" embossing folder I got at Hobby Lobby!!! I am hoping this will bring a bit of cheer to my little guy.

September 12, NorthWoods Halloween class
Northwoods Rubber Stamps
My friend Pat and I had a fun day out a couple of weeks ago and took a class at a LSS in South County called For Keeps Sake. The teacher Mary is amazing and the cards are usually outstanding and this was no exception. When you do a Northwoods class you use a lot of stickles (which I love),(and which didn't show up in the picture I took), copic markers to color and the Northwoods stamps are great to work with. Of course you get to "SHOP" after the class and the store is always well stocked with everything a stamper or scrapper needs (or doesn't) to either start or finish that certain project you are working on. What a fun day.

September 6, 2012 Cowboy Gear
Doodle Pantry, Liquid Applique, Nailhead brad, Spica glitter pen
Another new fun image from Doodle Pantry called Cowboy Gear. This set is not colored so it was perfect for me to use the suede technique. After resizing and printing (on ivory cs) my boot image I squeezed a generous amount of brown liquid applique on wax paper, then I used my brayer roller and picked up the liquid applique. Next I rolled the brayer over the image getting a pretty thin even coating on the boots. I let it sit for just a few minutes then took my heat tool and heated the brown liquid applique. Make sure you don't over heat as it tends to "burn". I then cut my boots out , added a bit of spica glitter pen on the trim of the boots, pop dotted the image. The sentiment went perfect with this pair of boots. When you feel the boots they feel like a very soft leather that have been worn to many line dances!!!

Sept. 1, 2012 Too Sweet Turtle
Doodle Pantry Too Sweet Turtle, Doodle Pantry DP (included), Rain Dots from Cloud 9, Bakers Twine, Lg. Scallop Die AMuse
Today is New Release Day over at Doodle Pantry and once again there are so many new cute images to pick from. I am so excited to announce that I am a "new" member of their design team, as you know I love their images and participate in their monthly challenges so when I was asked to be a team member it was so easy to say YES!!! I choose the new release Too Sweet Turtle which comes with a colored and black/white turtle image, 2 design papers, and 5 sentiments. I do so many kids get well and birthday cards - I knew this would be perfect for either a boy or a girl. I printed the turtle out on X-Press It cs, colored with copic markers cut out the images with Spellbinders nesties then mounted it on one of the bright colorful DP This makes it so easy to match colors. I had some Rain Dots in my stash and I thought they would be perfect on the orange dots on the shell and give the shell some texture. A bit of bakers twin in orange and another piece in green tied in a little bow, then scalloped the bottom with AMuse Die large scallop die and this card is ready to go.
