The House that Stamps Built - CAS

The last week in September already - the months are flying by.  I don't do CAS very well so this was truly a challenge for me over at The House that Stamps Built.

This is about as clean and simple as they come from me.  I went with a cute stamp 4512-F Lg. Rubber Stamp and 1912-H So Many Stamps  which is so true in my case.  I have been going through "some" of my stamps and getting rid of the ones that I don't use anymore or that are retired.

I used versafine black ink on both my stamp and sentiment - and then embossed with black embossing powder.  Really makes the stamp stand out.  I thought it still needed just a little something more so I went with a cute black/white check ribbon and tied a bow.  Card finished.  CAS!!!

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of CAS. So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of CAS
If you look on my right side bar I also have a discounted coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.

Jeans Pocket with Frog

Fun card I made for one of my chemo buddies, a young man that is 14 and I thought he would get a laugh out of this one.  A little snarky but fun.

The frog stamps and die cuts are from Technique Tuesday - and he fits perfectly in the pocket of the jeans.  I don't remember who has the jeans pocket stamp as I took it off my wood mount.  I stamped the pocket on my base card in denim blue and then stamped it again on an extra white card stock.  I trimmed just the pocket and put it on the outside of the base card with scor-tape and put some rivets on  with Nuvo dots.  With using scor-tape on the pocket I can slip a gift card int the pocket and when he pulls the frog out the gift card is there.  I think he will enjoy this card with a gift card to Burger King.

The House that Stamps Built Outdoor Fun

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Outdoor fun.  Well I totally went out of the box on my thought process - and what is more outdoors than building a snowman??  I used 7301-W Snowman which is a series of 5 stamps called a flip set.  I went with a waterfall card - as it had been a while since I had made a waterfall card.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of outdoors. So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of outdoors

The House that Stamps Built - 1-2-3-Challenge

The air is getting just a bit cooler now that it is the middle of September, we have had a HOT summer in southern Missouri this year.

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is 1-2-3- one stamp, two papers, and three embellishments.  Again I went with choosing my design paper first-and when I saw this I knew which stamp I was going to use for this challenge.  1708-G Fern just seemed to work perfectly with these papers.  So I have 1 stamp, 2 papers and 3 embellishments - 2 enamel dots and 1/2 doily.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of 1-2-3   So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge card and envelope.

Sparkle and Shine - The House that Stamps Built

This challenge at The House that Stamps Built, was so much fun to create - I love sparkle, bling, shine - glitter, you name it I like it.

Here is my take on this challenge - it has sparkle as well as shine.

I started with selecting my DP which was dragonflies, I cut the DP at an angle and then used narrow glitter washi tape on both sides.  Went one step further and tied a pink gold sparkle trimmed ribbon around the middle of the DP.  We have such pretty Dragonflies I decided to use 4405-K Dragonfly Deco which I stamped with versamark and embossed the pretty butterfly in Egyptian gold embosing powder which has sparkle in the powder.  Now to pick a sentiment - as I sent so many chemo angel cards I chose - 6521-B Have Faith - again stamping with versamark and embossing with Egyptian gold powder.  I used a die to cut the sentiment and then cut another one out of gold, cut the gold piece in half and used pop dots to higlight the sentiment.    A few pretty sequins and the card is ready - will go out in the mail on Tuesday as we had several special requests this past week.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of sparkle and shine .   So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge sparkle and shine.

The House that Stamps Built - POTW Challenge

First of all I want to wish everyone Happy Labor Day.  Fall is upcoming per the calendar, it is already September.  I am the POTW designer over at The House that Stamps Built  for this week and I cased a card done by one of our former design team Rock Stars Esther Ashberry.  Here is her card -

I liked it so much that I asked her if I could "CASE" it - "Copy and share everything" and she said "sure".  So here is my take on her card.

Would you like to see how I did this???  Well my main reason for trying this was I got a set of ZIG clean markers, they are watercolor pens and they are a lot of fun to work with.  I got a gift coupon for my birthday and this is what I spent it on.

I used 3312-E Maple leaf   3314-D Birch Leaf   3313-E Oak Leaf   3311-C Acorn, stamped the images with black archival ink as I was going to water color them.  I chose a variety of Zig markers in fall colors and I colored my leaves and acorns.

I die cut a tree out of vellum  with bare branches and then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist spray in coffee color.

I die cut the word "blessings" in brown.

I did some random black splatters which I love to do, just adds a bit of character.  I then glued the tree and the word blessings on my main panel.  I layered it on dark brown and then my base card was kraft.

Hope you enjoyed this POTW this week, and I enjoyed  being able to visit with our dear friend Esther and do my take on her card.

The House that Stamps Built Card and Decorated Envelope

Wow had to turn the page to another month on my calendar, only 4 months left in 2021.  This week over at The House that Stamps Built  our challenge is to make a card and a matching envelope.  Below is my card and envelope.

I had some bright and bold DP that I really didn't know what to do with - until I came up with this one.  I stamped two flowers on matching DP and fussy cut them - popping them up on the matching flower in the DP on my card.  I then decided to go with Plate 10100 - You Series - this set has a large bold YOU and then several sentiments that you can apply with this.  I went with make me smile - again I stamped them on the backside of the bold flowers DP and I fussy cut them and popped them up with some foam tape.  This was a fun and easy card to make and the envelope is decorated with the DP on the back flap.  This card is all ready to go out on Monday to a friend who just needs a pick me up.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of card and envelope.   So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge card and envelope.
