February 28, 2018 - Anything Goes

This last week in February and over at The House that Stamps Built and our challenge is Anything Goes.  So let your imagination run wild.

It has been a cold February here in Missouri  and I guess I was doing a bit of day dreaming so I used Large Palm Trees 2408-N and just a simple sentiment that summed it all up Live for 3103-F.  I made my own stencil with a large heart I had - and then blended some Distress Oxide Dyes Inks- they blend so nicely and stamped my image in the middle of the heart.  Just a few white lines with a white uno ball white pen and easy peasy.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of Anything Goes - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

If you look on my right side bar I also have a discounted coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.
Now why not take a look at our DT Rock Stars for inspiration and to get you started.

February 25, 2018 Fold Card

All stamps, CS, and DP by Stampin Up.  Gem from stash.
About a week ago one of my besties Patti got together for lunch and an impromptu craft afternoon.  I had made some egg salad and she called and said do you want to come over and play.  Well I threw some cs, dp, and stamps in my tote and I was out the door.
I have been wanting to make this card since before the holidays and just never got around to making it.  Love how it stand up for display and folds flat for an A2 envelope.  The God Bless You is the sentiment behind the main focal image.
Together we watched a video, folded, refolded, ditched and started again and SUCCESS got it. I will be making more of this fold for sure.  If you don't know now I LOVE fancy folds and this is no exceptions.

February 23, 2018 Happy Anniversary

I have a couple of anniversary dates coming up in the next few weeks so got an early start on making a couple of new cards.
Talk about needing an umbrella - we surely do need one in southern MO. this week, all it has done is rain, sometimes sleet.  Just hope Mother Nature knows what she is doing.
This is an old Unity stamp - but Unity stamps never seem to go out of style.  I have had this one (and used it often) for several years.  Stamped on Kraft colored with copics and colored pencils die cut with wonky frame.  I have had the Happy Anniversary sentiment a long time as well and again use it often.  Love the little heart.  Not much embellishment on this one - just the tiny red heart in the upper right and some Nuvo dots around the umbrella.

February 21, 2018 - Inspiration Challenge

This week is our Inspiration Challenge at The House that Stamps Built and our Inspiration Picture is shown above.  I choose to go with the colors and well I guess the photo as well as I choose flowers.

I have been having so much fun making the flag card - much easier than it looks.  I used Wild Violets 1706-I  which I stamped on Canon watercolor paper and colored with a new set of watercolors that I bought with some Christmas money.  I changed up the colors slightly on all four images so I would have variation.  For my sentiment on the inside I used Happy Moments 8616-E  .  For the outside of the cafd I did not use any stamps but used a die/die with shadow and flowers.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of Inspiration Challenge use photo or colors.   - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

February 14, 2017 Tic-Tac-Toe

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Tic-Tac-Toe which is one of my favorite challenges.

I went for the hearts, pattern paper and buttons, yes there is a button - it is teeny tiny and is on the bow in the left hand top corner.  I used two stamps for this challenge Flowering Hearts 4316-I and Be Mine 1201-I - the Be Mine stamp I cut into to two lines as the second line of the sentiment says Today-Tomorrow-Forever.  This part of the stamp I put in the inside of the card.  I enjoy paper piecing so I paper pieced the pot and the heart flowers, coloring the leaves with copic markers.  Had a pack of Valentine papers - (that I am trying to use up) and it had the pattern paper that I thought would go perfect with my design.  Some ribbon, a bow with a button and the card is complete.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of Tic-Tac-Toe - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

February 10, 2018 RoseBud

We just learned that some dear friends that we met when we adopted our first Rhodesian Ridgeback has lost their beautiful RoseBud.  What a story she has - her people Mom chased her all the way to Chicago to find her and by the grace of God found her.  She was either 12 or 13 and lived a wonderful life with her people parents who loved her very very much.  This was a hard card to make - and I hope it brings some comfort to them both.  We included a donation in RoseBud's name to the Ridgeback Rescue.   Godspeed RoseBud.

February 7, 2021 You have a way with Words

This week over at The House that Stamps Built it is Designers Choice - which is me and my challenge was You have a Way with Words.

I have had this card in my head for quite sometime - at least the words - then when I got my last order from Repeat Impressions I had ordered the stamp
Pocket Watch 6705-K from the Legacy Series.  What a great bunch of stamps in this series, great stamps for a scrap booker as well as a card maker.  For my word stamp I used Life is Not 6113-K.

I thought the verse with the background stood alone without much bling, ribbon, etc. so I left it as it.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Way with Words  - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

February 5, 2018 - Last of the Craft Weekend

These are a couple of the cards Donna and I made on Monday morning.  She is an amazing hostess - tuna salad (with celery) for lunch and a most delicious ham/cheddar chowder soup for Dinner on Sunday.  I have "my" room when I stay all night at her house (right next to her craft room).  Good time was had by all.  Thanks Donna and Diane.  We truly missed Donna's Mom who is one of our group as well - but she was unable to make it this time.  She did face time us at lunch so we did get to visit with her a bit.
.

We also made some darling little flowers - which I have not yet used but will be sure to post when I do.

February 1, 2018 - Fun Day of Crafting

This past weekend two of my besties and I got together to do a little crafting.  We each brought two shoebox projects to share.  What a great way to get new and fresh ideas.  I stayed all night vs. driving back home late and Donna and I played some more on Monday AM.  Here are some of the cards we made.

These two cards were my shoebox shares.  Simon Says stamps used on the first card and "old" TAC stamps used on the second one.  Love this flag fold card.

These were Diane's shoe box project - SU - demonstrator - love the doily dress.

This was one of the projects from Donna - love the fold. This card used a pretty RepeatImpressions stamp - you need to go visit Repeat Impressions web site and look at all the beautiful stamps she has in her collection.    Her other projects were making a variety of backgrounds - so you will be seeing those when I make them up.  We used mostly Distress Oxide Inks and blending on the backgrounds.
