January 29, 2014 Happy Valentine

Stamp by Great Impession, cs AMuse Studio, Wink of Stella, washi tape,  Bling from Hobby Lobby

Card I made following sketch (although I turned it the other way) on Sketch Saturday using a new stamp (new stamp for me)  from Great Impressions, I paper pieced the flowers and colored the leaves with Wink of Stella green - which has a beautiful shimmer.  Used some washi tape between the two cardstocks, and a couple of beautiful blingy hearts that I got last weekend from Hobby Lobby.  Challenges:

January 25, 2013 Serene Silhouettes

Stamps and Embossing folder by SU, Distress markers, MS Butterfly punch

I needed a "Sympathy/Thinking of You" card this week and since I have had this SU set Serene Silhouettes before Christmas I have only used it once.  Time to get out the Tim Holtz distress markers and do some coloring on my stamp, then huff.  Love the way it turned out and then added a bit of sky with a cloud stencil that I have had forever.  Really had to squeeze the sentiment in but it worked.  It is already on its way cross country.  Anxious to play with the other images in this set.  Challenges:

January 21, 2014 Silly Critters

Doodle Pantry Digi Silly Critters, Spellbinders die, washi tape from my stash, bling from stash

Isn't this the cutest turtle - love the cute lady bug on his back - I used glossy accents on the lady bug - and love the sentiment which came from Doodle Pantry With Heart, I used the "outside of the box" to cut the turtle outside of the circle.  This is for my little chemo buddy and I found some "free" hidden pictures to print off, (she loves the hidden picture puzzles) to slip in the envelope.

January 12, 2014 Crafty Friends

Stamps MFT, CS AMuse studio, bakers twine from my stash, colored with copic markers

My husband goes on an annual fishing trip to AR. in Feb. so time to get the girls together for our "second" annual stampfest.  This year I made invitations as I love this stamp set - but I love Pure Innocence images - colored them with copic markers, paper pieced the shirt and did some layers.  There will be 3 overnighters plus me and my "guard" dogs CoCo and Bella, and 2 local friends.  We all plan 1-2 or more shoebox projects to share, bring something for the salad bar luncheon, dinner is delivered pizza and then back to more stamping - with a little wine of course.  Breakfast the next am and a little more stamping.  I am really looking forward to this weekend.

January 10, 2014 Gramma to Be

Stamp Set from TAC - Twins, sentiment gramma2Be from TLC,  cs Bazzill, DP DCWV, bakers twine from my stash as well as the bling.

Remember when all your friends were having babies??  Well now all of my friends are having grandbabies, and even some of us "great" grandbabies  - love you Isabella.  My friend Cheryl 's daughter is going to have twins and since she does not know the sex yet I use neutral colors in my design.   I love making cards for fun occasions and this sentiment gramma2BE is from TLC and a double blessing is from the Twins stamp set from TAC.  Love the stork with the two babies balanced with two sentiments.  Needed a bit of bling and some bakers twine to finish off the card.

January 7, 2014 Super Birdie

Digi image and DP from Doodle Pantry, CS bazzil, star die cut Memory Box? not sure

I needed a cute quick card to get in the mail yesterday for one of my Chemo buddies.  He loves Super Hero images, stickers, tattoos, etc. so I knew Super Birdie would be just the right image to make this card. I love it when the image has designer paper to go with it - no matching, searching through "stacks" of DP in my stash.  I also followed a sketch for this card from Sketch Saturday, they offer a new sketch every Saturday and always fun to play along with their challenges.

January 4, 2014 God Bless

Stamps from TAC, Sentiment from SU, inks and cs from AMuse Studio, Spellbinders nestie, sequins from my stash, copic marker

Got a new Chemo angel Card buddy today and this is the card I have ready to put in the mail box this am.  Love green and brown together and love the sentiment.  She also likes green tea so i will put a bag of green tea in with her intro card.  My friend Patti came over for a little catching up and stamping this afternoon.   We had not seen each other for almost a month as she had been out of the country visiting daughter in 'Germany, then the holidays and we were both just busy so today was something we both "needed".  It was fun to be creative again.  We both did the same type card but hers is so different - I am hoping she posts it so you can see, love it when two or more people do the same type but it is so individual. This is the first time I have used sequins on my cards - and all you need is just a touch of glue, I had the green sequins but did not have brown so out with a copic marker and it works perfect, love copic!!!

We are due for 6-12 in. of snow this weekend with bitter cold temperatures so hubby will keep the wood stove going and I hope to get LOTS done in my studio.

January 1, 2014 Happy New Year

Digi Image from Doodle Pantry, DP also from Doodle Pantry, ribbon and bakers twine from stash, distress ink from Tim Holtz

I made a few of these last year for New Years cards and thought I would change it up just a little from last years design.  This digi image is so much fun to work with - it is precolored and has matching DP, my sentiment on the inside comes with the set and says Jing-a-ling-a-ling, which is perfect.  I also did one in gold which I have posted below.
  I like them both!!!
