November 27, 2019 Anything Goes

This final week of November over at The House that Stamps Built  our challenge is Anything Goes.  I had to choose between the last of my Thanksgiving cards or a Christmas card.  Well I went with 2 Thanksgiving cards.

Similar but different.  I used stamps:
     2826-H Let Us
     3213-G For the Beauty
     908-K Cornucopia

In both of the cards I used the same focal image of the cornucopia colored with markers, I used different sentiments, same DP, same brown CS, but slightly different layouts.  On the top card you will see I "tried" to use some gold filament string, I never can get it to look like the pictures but I guess there is no right or wrong.

I mailed out several Thanksgiving cards this year as I had 3 chemo buddies, plus family and a couple of close friends.  Now to put my fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving stamps up and start working on Christmas.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Anything Goes .  So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. ow it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Use a Stencil  -  and  as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

November 20, 2019 Photo Inspiration Challenge

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Photo Inspiration:

and here is my take on this pretty photo:

I wish I could say this was my idea but I must confess I saw it on Pintrest and really liked the idea.  Repeat Impressions I used were
     3306-I Falling Leaves
     7702-W Tree Flip Set

I used a die to cut my leaf out of the center of my second layer which I choose a beautiful wine color card stock.  I colored the leaves individually in the falling leaves stamp - using markers and then stamped them inside the cutout.  I embossed my sentiment in an Egyptian Gold (which is a little difficult to see).
Then I couple of pretty fall colored sequins scattered around the leaf.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Photo Inspiration.

November 13, 2019 Tic Tac Toe

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our chalenge is one of my favorites Tic Tac Toe.  Theme has a lot of autumn, fall, Thanksgiving possibilities.

Here is my choice for this challenge, Pumpkin, Paper Piecing and Buttons.

Stamps from Repeat Impressions used are :

I paper pieced the pumpkins and the cute little stems in oranges.  Using an oval frame that was embossed and distressed with Old Paper distress ink I arranged the pumpkins on the oval frame.  For my sentiment I used Thanksgiving Blessings and there is where I used the two tiny buttons.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Tic Tac Toe.

November 10, 2019 New Glasses

I made this card for great grand daughter.  She just got glasses and I thought she needed a boost of encouragement.  She is in 1st grade and well some kids can be really disrespectful.  So Grandma made her a fun card a with a note and some money so she can go buy herself a new book.  The better to see with since she has glasses.
Eye chart and glasses are Stampabilities, Glasses are die cut, and looks beautiful on you is from SU.

November 6, 2019 - Frame It

The first Wednesday at The House that Stamps Built is always Designer Choice
and our Rock Star this month is Laurie, she chose Frame It for us to work with for our challenge.

I recently got this stamp and sentiment and I knew immediately what I was going to make for the Frame It challenge.  I used:
     9403-P Quilt Frame
     9405-H Good Friends
I enjoyed coloring the individual quilt squares with Tombow markers - used some DP that I had in my stash and then used the sentiment in the center of
the quilt frame.  This will be a great card to have on hand as you never know when you are going to need that "special friend" card.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Designer Choice - Frame It.

November, 1 2019 Sweet Baby Congrats

One of my best friends that I have known for a really long time (well she was pregnant with the daddy of the new baby) so when I found out she was grandma this past week  and since I was having lunch with her on  Thursday I made her a congrats card.

Anyone that was an angel - a TAC angel that is, should remember this sweet little stamp - Teddy Bear Clothes Line.  I have saved it for a number of years and have used it fairly frequently.  Her new grand baby is a sweet little girl so I paper pieced the teddy clothes in pink.  Colored the teddies with copic markers and then used the copic alcohol remover on a little piece of terry cloth and dabbed it on the teddies to give them a look of fuzzy.  We had lunch yesterday and I got to see "lots" of pictures of the new baby.

This card was for great grandma - and followed through with the same  DP I had used on the other card.  She had lunch with us as well and they were both beaming.  Congrats to both of these amazing grandmothers.
