October 25, 2017 - Anything Goes

This week at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Anything Goes.
I have been seeing "bridge cards" on different sites on the internet and just had to try one, easy easy - and I think these stamps Sweet Dreams Puppy 1022-L - and 2112D Sleigh Ride Silhouette and the Christmas 1141-F.  I stamped the sweet dreams puppy with memento ink and colored and blended with prisma pencils.  I paper pieced his red hat and white fur trim out of velvet paper.  Give it a great texture.  I used some scraps of Christmas DP for my bg papers and the sentiment was stamped in Memento.  Looks like the puppy is dreaming of Santa coming to visit him.

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the challenge of Anything Goes  - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You know have a full month to enter our challenges to win.
You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice in the drawing for a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.
If you look on my right side bar I also have a discount coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.

October 18, 2017 Photo Inspiration

This week over at The House that Stamps Built  our challenge is to use the photo inspiration or colors.  I choose to go with the colors and made a fall card.  I enjoy sending fall/seasonal cards to my chemo/senior buddies vs. Halloween cards.  For this card I used Round Pumpkin 2318-G.  I kept it simple and used three colors of white core cardstock embossed with 3 different embossing folders and used the pumpkin as my focal point.  A bit of twine around the middle and script letters die cut using the same oranges I used to color the pumpkin.  All of this mounted on a dark green card base.

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the challenge of Photo Inspiration  - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You know have a full month to enter our challenges to win.

October 11, 2017 Tic-Tac-Toe

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is one of my favorites,Tic-Tac-Toe - so many possibilities.  It has been ages since I have done a star-burst card and I decided to go with the pattern paper, washi tape and black and white.  I used Bats 2308-E and Boo 2316-G found here.  I have used these cute little bats several times - no I am not a great fan of bats but I know they keep the mosquitoes away and we have a "bat house" just outside our yard on one of the trees in the woods.  My hubby built the bat house per specs about 3 years ago and we always have resident bats.

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the challenge of Tic-Tac-Toe - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.

October 4, 2017 The House that Stamps Built

Our challenge at The House that Stamps Built is Designer choice and Patti choose Blessings as our theme.
I choose Fall Tree 1614J and Count your Blessings 3106D.  I use a K-Pad ink pad in Autumn colors to ink up the fall tree as well as the sentiment.  I had some of this "ribbon" in my stash and it reminds me of fall so I used it on this card as well as an embossed fall leaves panel for my background.  Three little pearls finished my card.

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the challenge of Blessings - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.

October 2, 2017 - The House that Stamps Built POTW

This week over at The House that Stamps Built it is my week for POTW and I choose to do a quick and easy technique with stamping on book pages.  Here are my supplies:

I bought a book from GoodWill that had some acceptable script - and paid less than a $1.00.  I used EveryDay Blessings 6512E and Maple Leaf 3312E as well as some new Oxide Distress inks.

On my Kraft mat I squished my distress oxide inks and then spritzed with water.  I did one color at a time using a total of 3 colors of inks.
I think put my book page in the spritzed ink and gently pressed in color.  I then let it dry - (hardest part).

I then stamped my leaves making sure I was on the script, I then fussy cut each leaf out.

I finished my card with some autumn papers, and a bit of burlap ribbon.  Hope you have fun trying this technique - just make sure the text is "appropriate".

October 1, 2017 House of Cards Challenge

October 1, 2017 - WOW where is the year going???  Halloween and or colors is the theme for this months challenge over at The House of Cards.

I used a set from Lawn Fawn - and it says Halloween totally with the cat, pumpkin, and ghost, and the little bats on the tag held in place with a darling black tiny clothes pin.  I prefer cute for Halloween vs. scary as I usually just send to the grand kids.

Come join us this month for the challenge of Halloween or use the selected colors.
