March 31, 2018 Happy Easter

This is one of the Easter cards I sent to the great grandkids.  I love this fold - flag fold I think it is called.  I used a couple of TAC (out of business) sets that I just can't get rid of and the images work perfectly on this card.  Minimal coloring - and I think Bella will love it.

Llama Card

And who says you can't make a card for $2.00 which includes the stamp set with 10 stamps and 1 die.  This is made by Craftsmart and I got it at Michaels about a month or so ago.  So for cute little stamp sets that you see that you think are cute and are cheap- I can vouch for this one it is a REAL DEAL.

March28,2018 Anything Goes

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is probably the most popular - Anything Goes.  I love seeing what other DT and stampers that participate in our challenge come up with.  This week was our wonderful
Wendy's birthday week so I choose to post the birthday card I made for her.

For this card I used 5123-C  Butterfly Sil. Small and the sentiment is from
the Birthday collection 1113-D Happy Birthday.

This is an "altered" form of ghost stamping that I ran across on a blog some time ago and with this image I thought it turned out very nice.  I had a pretty butterfly embossing that I used on some small dotted polka dot.  Die cut my two banners and the card is ready to go.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  Anything Goes - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

If you look on my right side bar I also have a discounted coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.
Now why not take a look at our DT Rock Stars for inspiration and to get you started.

March 21, 2018 Inspiration Photo Challenge

This week over at The House that Stamps Built  our challenge is the
inspiration photo shown above.  When I saw the photo my thought was Easter, Easter eggs, etc. so that is what I went with.

You know my love for folds, well this is another one I CASE'd this weekend from a friend.  To much fun and I was able to get my Easter idea conveyed.  I love the Easter Balloons 4507-J for my main image and for the sentiment image I went with Beauty of Springtime 1304-J.  This was such a fun card to put together and decorate, added a bit of grass with the Easter eggs hiding and I had just ran across some Easter papers that I had so they worked perfectly.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of the Inspiration Photo,  as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

March 14, 2018 Tic Tac Toe

Our challenge for this week was Tic-Tac-Toe  and this is one I love to work with.  I choose to go with washi tape, green and fun fold.  If you haven't figured it out by now I LOVE fun folds.
For this challenge I choose to use 9602-O Beer Mug , 9601-I Beer Foam   and the sentiment 9608-C Bottoms Up for my St. Pats theme card.  I paperpieces the mug, fussy cut the foam and used puff paint for the realistic foam on top and the sentiment is perfect.  Another fun fold this week and this one is so easy - keep watching my blog and you will be given the instructions for this easy fun card.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of Tic-Tac-Toe - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

March 7, 2018 JARS

It is already March - the upside of this is hopefully warmer weather and springtime is not far behind.  This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Designer Choice and our designer is Esther.  Her pick was "jars".  Well Repeat Impressions has some very nice jars to work with - empty ones that you can put flowers, candy, whatever you wish - but I choose to work with a cute little set featured in Repeat Impressions FLIP section.  It has been a LONG time since I have made a flip (or waterfall card)  and I had almost forgotten how much fun they are to make.  I used 7607-W Bug Flip Set and who doesn't remember catching the fireflys and putting them in a jar.  I love the sentiment that comes with the set of 4 stamps and yes it is a pun or play on words.  I also used the
Flip Fancy Die Set found here which makes making the flip card easy peasy.
I think this card would bring  smile to anyone who is suffering from this winters flu bug that so many people experienced.

Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of  JARS - as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge to win.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

March 4, 2018 Bridal Shower Card

Going to a shower in a couple of weeks for one of my besties (Donna) soon to be DIL.  I was totally drawing a blank on ideas, (I know umbrella for shower right), and remember I had this too cute name sign on a post from Taylored Expressions.  I even had the die cut to go with. Die cut and mounted on a brick embossed bg, and then for the sign I computer generated the names of the new Bride and groom to be and when they would establish their new home together.  I am anxious to go to the shower as I have yet to meet Meagan but I know she has already met the happy approval of the groom and the new in-laws Steve and Donna, so I know she will be great in my book too.

March 2, 2018 Pet Sympathy Cards

Last week I had not one but two friends loose their furry companion - I know how hard a decision this is to make.  I made two identical cards except for the name to send to each of them hoping to give a little comfort and so they can have a keepsake card..  I used this heart die a couple of weeks ago for another dog family and I really like how it turned out so went with this same layout and die cut again  I stamped and die cut the paws out and popped them up on the inside heart - you knows dogs leave footprints on our heart.  Then I personalized them with putting the name of their fur baby on the front which I die cut with Amuse alphabet.  It is just the right size.  A bone cut out and one gem and that is all I think I needed.  These are so hard for me to make - as with any sympathy card.  I need to make a couple up and have on hand in my stash and then just personalize them when needed.
