Red, White, Blue over at The House that Stamps Built

This week over at The House that Stamps Built  our challenge is Red, White and Blue.  Very fitting since next week is the 4th of July.

Well I see I "cheated" just a little as I have used Kraft for my card.  But I'm going to let it stand as I like it!!!  I have a hat die and the USA 3702-G just fit perfectly.  The pretty fireworks 9014-M Fireworks, which I stamped and embossed in red. white, and blue.  Splattered some white and 4th of July card ready to go.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Red, White, and Blue. So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Red, White and Blue.

Potw - Sympathy Card - The House that Stamps Built

Is it really June 28th???  This month has gone so quickly.  I am up for the POTW over at The House that Stamps Built today.   Unfortunately I have needed 4 sympathy cards this month. Sympathy cards are a challenge to make when you actually need them - so I made a couple of CAS up ahead so I would have them in my stash.

I seldom do a CAS card but this one came together pretty quickly.  Supplies:

I choose three different colors of pinks in distress oxide inks.  For my stamps I used 1505-N Rose Border and 4025-F Deepest Sympathy .

Using a piece of torn copy paper to block off the bottom of the card I applied distress inks on top using a blending brush.  Oxide inks blend so nicely.

After applying the distress inks I used my Misti stamp positioner and versafine ink to stamp the image as well as the sentiment on the cardstock.

By using the stamp positioner if there were any light areas I could reink and go over and know that I was in the same spot.

I decided to stamp the rose border again and cut out two of the roses to use on each side of With Deepest sympathy.

I added a narrow layer of black and then used white for my card base.  No bling no ribbon just a CAS Sympathy card that I hope I don't have to use for a while.

The House that Stamps Built - Challenge - Scene

Where has June gone???  It is already the 23rd and the challenge over at The House that Stamps Built  is to create a card with a scene.

I guess I was in a "beachy" mood as that was the first thing that came to mind for this challenge.

For this card I used 2408-N Large Palm Trees on a sandy beach with some big fluffy clouds in the backgound.  I used a die cut of a comfy beachy chair and of course you have to have a cold drink.  For my sentiment I used 3103-F Live For.  This can be used for a retirement card, just because or thinking of you.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of  Scenic card.   So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Scenic.

The House that Stamps Built - Black/White Challenge

June is more than half over already - things are returning back to normal and I am getting back into "going out".  This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is black/white card.  For my card I selected a LOVE card.

I had some "new" dies - and this one with hearts gave me the idea of LOVE.  Using 1204-I LOVE.  I embossed the LOVE stamp in white on black - two tiny hearts one in white and one in black (I colored a white one with a black Sharpie).  I used pop dots to pop up the center panel and easy peasy card.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Black/White card.   So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge ofBlack/White.

Fun Fold - The House that Stamps Built

This week over at  The House that Stamps Built our challenge is: A Fun Fold.  Now if you don't already know I LOVE fun folds.  I'm not sure if this card really qualifies as a fun fold but.... it was fun to make and it has many fun folds.

This is a cube card that we did a few weeks at a get together with out friend Patti.  Once you make one - it is really not that difficult.  I have only used a simple sediment on this card Thinking of You - 1105-E as it is really a card that only requires a simple sentiment.  I made a baby card last week using this same design and it was the hit of the baby shower.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Fun Fold So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Fun Fold

Masculine Card - The House that Stamps Built

Oh WOW - it is June already - had a cool - no cold Memorial day weekend - yes the furnace actually kicked on.

Our challenge this week over at The House that Stamps Built  is a masculine card.  Since I already had my Father's Day cad made I went with a masculine birthday card.

What a fun card - especially when most of my friends are now reaching the over the hill age.  I used 9119-K Corvette for my focal image and for my sentiment I used 3901-I Over the Hill.  I have had the mechanical wheels for a long time and just don't find a lot of use for them - except in masculine cards.  I die cut them out and scattered them on the front of the card.  Then I went through my stencils and what do I find - a stencil - with the same cogs and wheels.  Worked out so well.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of masculine or boy. So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of masculine or boy card.
