The House that Stamps Built - Anything Goes

This last Wednesday of July - our challenge over at The House That Stamps Built.  Well usually I don't have any problem with coming up with something for this challenge.  But .... here is my card

Dear granddaughter wanted me to make her a card using a fairy.  Well Repeat Impressions has a really cute fairy and decided to go with her as my focal image 4301-K Fairy's Lantern.  I used 3104-F Happy Everything.  This card kept evolving with glitter, die cut, vellum wings and vellum lantern,  gold splatters and yet it still needed something - so two gold glitter strips one at the top and one at the bottom.  But finally I said "done".

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of  Scenic card.   So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Scenic.
If you look on my right side bar I also have a discounted coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.
Now why not take a look at our DT Rock Stars for inspiration and to get you started.

Christmas in July - The House that Stamps Built

This challenge is always one of my favorite in the summer at The House that Stamps Built .  Christmas in July, I seldom start on Christmas cards in July but at least I know I have one ready.

I had a different idea in my head when I started and this is what evolved.  I'm thinking someone I know might get a new puppy for Christmas (no names mentioned).  I used 8120-K Scruffy Puppy 8103-C WOOF as well as 1141-F Merry Christmas and 4818-J and 4519-H Gift box and gift box top.

I paper pieced the box with some holiday paper as well as the strips and bow on the box.  I colored the puppy with copic markers and fussy cut him out.  I carefully cut a slit in the box for puppy to slip through and I pushed him through to where just the head and chest are showing  I used a speech bubble punch for my Woof and Merry Christmas sentiment with a bit of bling.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Christmas in July. Mason's Birthday Card

Today our cute little redhead will celebrate his 3rd birthday although his birthday was a couple of days ago.  He is into tractors and farming, just like his big brother Carter.  Only fitting that I make him a tractor birthday card from Great grandma and great grandpa.

This depicts life on their country farm, although Dad just helps out around the farm as he has a full time job.  The stamps are from Newtons Nook Farming Fun and has 4 cute tractor images as well as a pickup truck, and wagon.  I made some rolling hills - and put the tractors on the bottom - filled up the wagon with corn ears from SU dies, the corn plants and sign are also from SU.  The dog die is one I had in my stash but looks like their black lab farm dog Piper.  Got him a farm puzzle,  a farm sticker book and will put some money in the card.  Hope to get some cute pictures

The House that Stamps Built - Use Pattern Paper

This week our challenge at The House that Stamps Built is to use pattern paper and this challenge came at the right time as I needed a 60th birthday card.

Perfect for the toilet tissue pattern paper that I had in my digi files.  I made a mini slim card so I could get all the fun focal images in place.  I   used 1601-I Holy Crap, 10631-J Plunger and 10632-I Toilet Tissue and 10633-K Toilet.  Just did a bit of shading with grays on the toilet and toilet tissue and colored the plunger with copic markers.  This turned out just like I was hoping and I hope the SIL get a laugh.

Now it is your turn to make a card or project using the challenge of Pattern Paper. So many possibilities on this challenge.  You have a full month to enter our challenge.  You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do  you will have two chances to win a $25 gift certificate towards stamps. using the challenge of Pattern Paper.

The House that Stamps Built - Use a Stencil

Hope everyone had a nice July 4th.  We bar-b-qued and just relaxed here at home.

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is to use a stencil on our project.

I did use a stencil on this card design, but I was playing around with my gel press and Donna  suggested I use a stencil on what ink I had left on my gel press.  Well this turned out to my liking.  I used 2614-D, 2616-D, and 2617-D, all Tiny Birds.  I thought the birds went with the feather stencil - I colored them in with colored pencil and low odor mineral spirits.  I decided to make it a birthday card and used the 1904-I A Special Wish sentiment.  Iwante to get all of the stenciling in so I made a square card, which will cost more postage, but I don't make very many square cards.

Pet Sympathy Card

These are the cards that just pull at your heart strings when you make them.

This is a combination of several dies and stamps including Repeat Impressions scenic in which I just used the bridge - SU for the sentiment, Martha Stewart for the hearts, Amuse for the clouds.  I did my own spin on a CASE that I really liked from Pinterest.  I found this poem which I included with the card. You will need a tissue to wipe the tears.

I hope this brought a bit of comfort to my friends.
