Christmas in July

How HOT is it where you live - well settle back and enjoy Paper Wings Christmas in July Blog Hop. I choose these two cards because they are super EASY and can be mass produced in no time. The leaves are from Happily Grateful which is the SOTM for July and can be purchased for $10.95. I stamped in Versa-mark and decorated with red bling. Don't have red bling - just color crystal bling with red copic markers. Joy card is dual embossed in silver and gold, using nesties to cut the oval and mounted on scallop oval then a nice sheer gold bow for just a bit of added beauty. Hop on over and see what the other girls have done for their Christmas in July.

Open House

I had my New Catalog Open House last Saturday and I sent out my invitations with the saying "Look what came in my mailbox", so I made the little mailboxes with Hershey Nuggets and Tutti-Fruitti Papers, and small flowers on the mailbox flag. Thanks Seleise for this wonderful idea. I put numbers on the bottom and then had a prize table set up for the guests to choose their "thank-You" prize for coming. This was so easy and a lot better than drawing numbers. Our make-n-takes were Christmas in July - and PaperWings is having a blog hop with the same theme on July 25 at 8:00 pm, so come join us. I had a large cookie decorated with red/green icing and had WM write Christmas in July on the cookie, I had Christmas music playing, a christmas mat and wreath at my front door and well the Open House was a HUGE success and I already have my order!!! See you tomorrow night.

Autumn Leaves

One of our "angels" Angie over at PaperWings had a challenge to design a card around ribbon. I bought this ribbon over a year ago because I "liked" it but got it home and just couldn't find the right image to go with it until our new set Autumn Leaves came out in the new TAC Inspiration catalog and I knew as soon as I saw it that was the ribbon to use. I tried to color the acorn image in the same colors as the acorn on the ribbon and it came out pretty close. This is going to be a fun set to play with for the fall.

Megan

Dear granddaughter Megan came to visit this past week - resulting in no new posts!! But the trade off was so... fun. She lives in South Bend IN. so we only get to see her a couple of times a year. She usually spends a weeks with us in the summer and this week was packed with fun activities. First she learned how to ride a bike - YEA MEGAN!! My friend Pat loaned us a bike her dh had found and with a bit of Grandpa's TLC he got it in riding condition. WE had a motto - I CAN - not I CAN'T plus "no blood no tears". She learned in about 2 1/2 hours and she was so proud. We went camping for 3 days, went to the Butterfly House (which is totally awesome), shopping and then her big sis picked her up late yesterday afternoon and took her home with her for a few days. I remember all the good memories of spending a few days with my grandma, those are memories we will never forget. Tomorrow is my Open House so I will have pics of my make-n-takes up probably on Sunday and then back to work on Monday. I could get used to not working but with the new catalog out I have no choice.

From the Heart

I have been having so... much fun coloring some new images that a FRIEND sent to me. It didn't take the place of seminar (I didn't get to go) but it sure helps having osme of the images to color already. This one is such a cutie - this little girl has been around for over a year now and I think she is just darling. You can use this set of 8 for not only Valentines Day but for so many other occasions. I cut her out with nestie circles and scallop circles. The DP is from Basic Gray and the "bling" is clear bling colored to match my design with COPICS. I am having so much fun coloring bling to match!!! I also colored the little girl with copic markers.

Spring Friends

Here is my second card using the NEW set Spring Friends. Isn't this bunny boy just too cute, again my friend sent me some images to play with. Chelsea has 5 sample cards in the NEW inspiration book - she is so talented and what an honor to have 5 published. I colored this little guy with copics, and I thought he needed some realistic looking eyes (my DH says they look goofy). But this is just a fun card and I think i will send it to my little Chemo Angels guy. I used Just Like Dad cutting the shapes with nesties labels, this is such a versatile set of nesties - I use it a lot.

Spring Friends

I have a sweet friend who sent me some stamped images from the new Inspiration book and I just had to play with the Spring Friends. This little bunny is so cute with her tutu, colored with copics, gems colored with copics (isn't that just too much fun to color your bling to match). Bunny is popped up with pop dots, some sheer dk pink ribbon and I just thought this saying was perfect for her. Keep watching - there will be more posts soon using this same set.

Happy 4th of July

This is to wish you all a Happy 4th and to enjoy the weekend in a safe fun manner. Leave the fireworks to the professionals and enjoy the evening at your local park or celebration where they can be safely displayed. Here is my "fireworks" card - this is from an OLD set from TAC called Auld Lang Syne and it is perfect for this holiday. For me this is going to be a peaceful relaxing weekend after a LONG week at work. I need to get in my studio and work up some more posts. My friend Chelsea sent me some images to color so be on the lookout to some new posts on my blog.
