Hey Cupckae

Love love love my new Hey Cupcake set from AMuse that I just got this week - and it was 10% off in celebration of their 1 year birthday celebration. This fun filled set was so easy to work with, and with the matching Bermuda CS, Bermuda polka dot cs and Bermuda ink it all came together so quickly. I did use some tropical blue bakers twine from The Twinery and added a couple of lt. blue pearls. This card is going to my chemo patient, her birthday is coming up real soon. I had found a cupcake tea towel/with matching dishcloth, a cupcake notebook/journal and then I tucked in a pair of breast cancer symbol shoestrings, and the card. I hope it brings a smile to her face with all the sweet cupcake goodies for her special day.

Butterfly Lucy

Love CC Design images from All That Scraps and this one is no exception, this is Butterfly Lucy and she was so much fun to work with. I paperpieced her dress and shoes using AMuse cs. I colored the rest of her with copic markers. Cut out with nesties. The sentiment is also from All that Scraps again cut out with nesties. The bg paper I used is by the Paper Loft and the ribbon was in my stash - just had a small piece but the colors were perfect. I think this card will go to my dear daughter who is struggling most days with a problem in her life so hoping this will cheer her up.

Scripture Tea Bag Matchbook Card

Last week one of my patients that I see routinely gave me a couple of scripture tea bags - well as soon as I got home I went on line searching for them and found them on E-Bay. I send a lot of pick-me-ups to Chemo patients through Chemo Angels and so many of the patients like tea - and it is soothing to upset tummies etc. I thought how wonderful to send a special tea bag with a scripture verse. I used a pattern I cased from Julie Robinson (a very dear fellow angel demonstrator from TAC). The set I used is a set from TAC - and it works perfectly to hold the tea bag, paper piece the tea cup and pop either cute animals or flowers in the tea cup. The top of the matchbook style card give me a space to write a small message to let them know I am thinking of them.

AMuse Easter Card

Just got some FUN goodies from my AMuse order last week - and how much fun was this card to make. I used Egg-stravaganza die stamp set, and the Easter egg die cut - (which was easy-peasy to use). Then guess my mind was on chocolate because I chose the NEW polka dot chocolate cs to cut my bunny out with the bunny die set. Then the grass die to cut the grass out of the gingham green cs, and yet it still needed something else - clouds which I cut out with the cloud die and sponged lightly with light blue ink. Still needed something else - hmm...of course eyes on the bunny - I had some tiny google eyes and they worked perfect on the small bunny and then the micro bling on the Easter eggs. I can see I will be making more Easter cards with all these elements and some new delicious cardstock colors I just got.

Lucy Cheese

Lucy is ready to bring Birthday Wishes for a special friend that lives out of town. I loved her and the BD greeting inside re age is not important - and how true that is. Colored with copic markers, nesties to cut her out, the DP is from some scraps that I "found" today in my file cabinet. It still needed a bit of something hence the petty little flowers and pearl centers. I hope she enjoys getting this card as much as I enjoyed making it.

DPDC21 - Doodle Pantry Challenge

Is this Irish Birdie from Doodle Pantry not the cutest??? I love using Doodle Pantry images especially the precolored ones and a lot of the images comes with coordinating DP to match - so this was a easy peasey card to put together, print images, nesties, cut the DP and paste, and of course a bit of "bling". I have some Irish in my veins as my mother was a Casey so I usually send out a few cards to the family on St. Pats Day. I also had to send a card to my chemo patients with a padded envie with green socks, green gum, green tic-tacs, and green tea. Oh I forgot the best part of playing along with the DP challenges - you get a FREE image and this month it is absolutely darling.

CAS one Layer card

This is the 2nd of 2 cards we (my friend Pat and I) made last week when we got together just to "create and catch up on things. She and I have both had a bit of stress in our lives so the afternoon was a wonderful stress reliever. I had seen this on Gina K. Stamp TV and it was so easy peasy - but yet made a very attractive card. I used a Magenta stamp I had sitting on my shelf for a LONG time and it worked very well for this, just about any image would work be it flower, butterflies, bugs etc. a red ribbon a sentiment (from AMuse) and this card is already on its way to a new home - hopefully the chemo patient will Smile when she gets this card.

SPRING Card

Yesterday my friend Pat came over, we had a nice lunch including a cake (yes that I had made). We then went down to my craft room - opened both of my doors and OMG the MoJo flowed!!! Pat had brought a set called Narcissus from Stampendous - which was perfect for this project Paper Piecing outside the Line which I had seen on Gina K Stamp TV. What made this image perfect was the NEW and BEAUTIFUL AMuse polka dot cs which I love - this was such a fun card to make and we were able to talk, create, share and just have fun - stress free afternoon which was long over due in my life. This card is ready for a new home as I just got a special request from Chemo angels this am about a patient that needed some sunshine and cheer - how perfect this card is to send on. Will post another simple card that we created in addition to this one. And Oh did I tell you "we" (both Pat and I) LOVE Amuse CS???
