July 20, 2016 THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT - Photo Inspiration

Photo Inspiration

This Wednesday is "photo inspiration" Wednesday here at The House that Stamps Built and the above photo is the inspiration.  Well as you can see by my creations I choose to go with the STARS and a sentiment - Reach for The Stars 3105E from REPEAT IMPRESSIONS as it worked perfectly for the card and bookmark I made.

My youngest granddaughter is starting high school in just a couple of weeks - so I made this card and bookmark for her - she is in all honors classes and always sets her goals high.  Hoping this will inspire her to continue to be the best she can be.  As you can see by my card I did a new technique that one of our Rock Stars KATHY did a tutorial to show us the steps.  Well mine is not "perfect" but I think with some practice I will learn how to space them evenly and I love the end result.  The technique can be found here so  go take a peek and try one of your own.  I used grey and white and white and gray polka dots and then cut my star our of silver shimmer cs.  For my book mark I used gold shimmer cs - embossed the words in gold and then flicked some gold shimmer spray - just because I really like to do that!!!

Hoping you will create a card using our photo inspiration to enter our challenge over atThe House that Stamps Built.  You don't have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will get an added bonus of an additional entry in the random drawing for a $25 Repeat Impressions gift certificate. HINT - take a peek over on my side bar and you will see a 10% discount on Repeat Impressions stamps.  We would love to see you create something.

Now why not go check out my DT team mates and see what they have created.

What a great card! Would love to try it. Maybe for our next stamping get together? You must be so proud of your granddaughter and this will definitely inspire her.

What? You really think this is NOT perfect? OMG! You did an amazing job with both the challenge, AND with Kathy's uber terrific technique! Love what you made, and I know that your sweet Megan loved finding this in her mail box!

Fabulous creations, Shirley! This would work equally well for male or female, and it's so uplifting!

Very cool! I think your take on Kathy's technique came out fabulously and I'm sure your granddaughter is going to love both of these.
