October 12, 2016 Designer Choice - Food or Drink

This week over at The House that Stamps Built,  is our Rock Star Designer Choice category - and Patti J. was our Designer this week with her theme of Food or Drink.  Well I checked many references and I see that candy CORN is a vegetable so that qualifies!!!  What fun to make this card - I used Candy Corn 2306D  from Repeat Impressions as well as the sentiment Trick or Treat 2302G. I had some fun shimmer Halloween paper so I stamped the candy corn on white and colored with glitter pens, added some bling and for the sentiment I embossed in cooper embossing powder which worked well.  A bit of Halloween bakers twine and this card is ready to go in a Halloween box to one of my chemo buddies with some fun Halloween goodies and of course a bag of  candy corn.

Hoping you will join us this week over at The House that Stamps Built using our theme of food or drink.  You don't have to use Repeat Impression stamps but if you do you will be entered twice to win a $25 gift certificate to use in the store.  If you take a look over at my right side bar you will see a 10% discount on Repeat Impression stamps.  We would love to see your creation.

Now take a look at what our Design Team has created for this weeks challenge.

Hahahahaha, Shirley...there was a day when I WISHED candy corn WAS a food source...but you've got references, so it must be close. What a cute card! Love that twine it added such a perfect texture to your whole design.

Well . . . I don't know if Candy Corn is a vegetable, BUT it is definitely a food. I'm always so excited when Candy Corn comes out in the store, and then I eat it and remember I don't actually like it. Happens every year. : ) But I DO like this card. super cute!

I love to have a mixture (1/2 and 1/2) of candy corn and dry-roasted peanuts on hand at this time of year. It tastes like those peanut roll candy bars. Your sweet card reminded me of that. Now I need to go to the store!!

I don't make too many Halloween cards - but yours makes me want to get those pumpkins and candy corn stamps and paper out! Great job!
