April 26, 2017 Anything Goes

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is Anything Goes - and I have to say I love this challenge, it allows us to be "creative" with no limits.

For my card I choose Shade of the Elm 2908I for my focal point and for the sentiment I used the words from  Hello Plate 9900 - asI really thought the scene captured my focal point well with just a simple sentiment,  A fewweeks ago we had our "annual" girls crafting overnight my house and everyone brought a shoebox project for everyone.  This was the "technique" brought by Sally where she cut us each a corner templete and we inked the are first, then stamped our image.  I stamped an addition chair and fussy cut it and popped it up. Then I used my Scor-Pal to add some lines just for a little definition. Had just a little bit of the olive green twine so I wrapped it around and made a small bow.  Card done!!! No coloring, just a tiny bit of fussy cutting, lines with Scor-Pal and twine. Easy Easy,

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card with the challenge being ANYTHING GOES.  We always get a lot of submissions for this challenge so we would love to see yours.

You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice in the drawing for a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.
If you look on my right side bar I also have a discount coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.

April 19, 2017 -PHOTO/COLOR CHALLENGE

This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is the photo inspiration/or colors.  I went more with the colors in my inspiration with the clouds in the sky using a stencil and sponged in some green for the ground then stamped the Kite 4511-I in purple - and I added some wink of Stella in clear on the kite bows.  Kites mean spring so I choose Happy Spring 1301-F - I didn't add anything except a purple/white bakers twine bow at the top as I really thought the card and images stood alone with out much else needed.

Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the photo or color challenge
 as your inspiration

April 17, 2017 POTW at THE HOUSE THAT STAMPS BUILT

WOW Easter was yesterday and I hope everyone enjoyed the beautiful day with family, friends, church services or however you celebrate Easter.

For my POTW  (project of the week) I choose to do a very simple, easy, and FUN project that I call embedded faux chip board.  I used Repeat Impressions stamps listed below:

                     10203-D Leaf Cluster outline
                     10205-E Flower Cluster outline
                     10206-E Flower Cluster detail
                     10207-E Flower Cluster solid

For my Supplies I used a word die, white cardstock cut at 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2 above listed stamps, Tombow multipurpose liquid glue, a piece of Draft cardstock, sequins, and inks of your choice.

Die Cut your word our of the upper center of the white cardstock as well as 5 individual die cuts out of the Kraft cardstock.

Next step is to glue all 5 DREAM die cuts together making sure they line up, using liquid glue of your choice.

I then began stamping my images of the flower clusters and leaves randomly on the white cardstock.  I used three different colors of purples.

Then add liquid glue to the back of your stack of 5 dreams  glued together and with the card front facing up place the stack of die cuts through the negative space on the white cardstock.  It may be just a bit snug but it will slip right into the negative space.  Looks like chipboard without the weight.

I thought it needed some bling so I choose to add some random sequins.

Finished Card:

Enjoy and find different dies and Repeat Impressions  images that will work beautifully together.

April 12, 2017 Tic-Tac-Toe

This week over at The House that Stamps Built is one of my favorite challenges - Tic-Tac-Toe.  The possibilities are endless with what you can choose as long as it is in a diagonal, straight, or across line.  I choose Birds, Blue, and Dew Drops.  For my focal point I used 1702-N Bird Sons - and for my sentiment I thought this saying was appropriate - 3106-D Count your Blessings.  I colored my bird and trees etc with copic marker - sponged in some very light and fluffy clouds and then mounted it on some cloud paper.  Next I went on the hunt for my dew drops, and yes I found them as you will see in the lower left and right corners.  I still thought it needed something - so..how about a pretty bright sunshine punch.
Now it is your turn to your turn to make a card using the Tic-Tac-Toe at the top of my post.
You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice in the drawing for a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

April 10, 2017 HAPPY EASTER

Someone special is going to get this card in the mail this week.  The bunny die from AMuse  reminds me of "Peeps" candy that I LOVE.  Cut some grass for them to "hide" in put some darling eyes from Crackerbox and then decided to use the darling bow that my bestie Donna got each of us at our girls annual overnight crafting
event.  Are they not cute - just make the girl rabbits pop.  Then I had a bow tie die I used for the boy bunny.  All dressed up for Easter.

April 5, 2017 The House that Stamps Built Challenge

This week over at The House that Stamps Built is Designer Week choice and Joy choose "use a diecut".  I love diecuts a lot - much easier than fussy cutting.  I decided to go with a beautiful inspiring sentiment Dream, Inspire, Hope, 3101-J stamped in Kaleidacolor "Berry Blaze".  Cut out with a die with a bit of fancy work around the square.  On the corners I put Falling Feathers 916-F stamped with the Berry Blaze colors and then fussy cut and popped up on each corner.  I used the Falling Feathers as the background of my base card as well.  For my main image to go on I used Tiles which I won in some blog candy from Laurie a couple of months ago and I have been having a lot of fun playing with this unique set of tiles.  Again I used the Berry Blaze colors and stipple brushes (after I found them).  A few pastel sequins and the card is complete.

Why not join us this week over at The House that Stamps Built challenge blog and make something beautiful with a die cut as your inspiration.

April 3, 2017 - One more Feather Card

The last card I posted was a feather as well as this one - but I really really like how it turned out.  I had a frame left sitting on my desk from Ombre Frame technique so decided to use it.  I saw an older stamp sitting on my wood stamp shelf from Stampendous called Peacock Feather.  I colored it with my "old" Gelatos (I forgot how much fun they were).  Stayed with the blue ombre theme for my Blessings die cut and added a few splatters of gold and  to make my card complete I die cut a small butterfly and used some SU cold thread as an accent.  Hope you enjoy.

April 1,2017 House of Cards Challenge

This months challenge over at House of Cards is feathers or colors.  Well I recently got some Yupo paper which really isn't paper but plastic and it is so much fun to work with.  I used  alcohol inks to work with on my  Yupo paper and I was amazed at how the colors just transformed.  It is very forgiving and I just let my imagination take over.    I stamped (with Stazon trust me I tried other inks) the feathers and die cut them, from AMuse Studio I then saw I had a little bit left so I die cut the words and used them on my card as well.
A couple of months ago I received some blog candy from a friend and I have been having fun with Tiles which I used for my background.  I found my stipple brushes and  went to town with my distress inks.  Then added a little water splatters.  Hope you enjoy.
Join us over at House of Cards this month with your beautiful creations.
