Bumblee Card Anniversary Card

 Don't you love it when you can use a stamp set/punch more than one way???  Wish I could say this was my idea but it was "case'd".

What a fun card to make using the Hello Ladybug Stamp Set from SU. Black/yellow strips, sweet vellum wings and a black gem to cover up the glue dot behind the vellum wings.  Punched out a couple of little yellow flowers to hide an oops smudge.  Black organdy glitter ribbon adds the final touch.  Have several anniversary dates coming up in the next couple of months - and I really thought this would work for an anniversary. On the inside I used a sentiment Side-by-Side.  

I need to try making more than just one style with my stamp sets - I think maybe this gave me the motivation I needed.   

Moving On

Our next door neighbors are leaving tomorrow for their move to Tacoma WA. (we are in MO.)  Here is the card I made for them. 

Their PODs came yesterday - loading them up today and leaving tomorrow.  

They were the BEST neighbors - and saying goodbye tonight (we are having them for dinner) will be so hard.  They are our adult kids age but we just clicked.  He got a promotion and part of the promo was he had to move to WA.  She works from home so location is not a part of the equation.  

I made the card using Best Delivery from Stampin Up.  I looked up POD trucks for colors.  I cut out POD in white letters using an old Amuse alphabet die.  Mounted the letters on red, made the cab of the truck red and added some glossy accents to the windshield.  

The card was easy to make - but saying goodbye is going to be hard this evening.  

But.....we have plans to fly to Seattle in either June or September to see them.  

Pet Sympathy Card

 Recently a friend's  pet "kids" crossed the rainbow bridge.  I know how truly missed he is and I will miss seeing pictures of him on their FB page.  We recently lost one of our beautiful pups - at the age of 13 - a long life for a big dog. But we do miss her terribly.  Hoping the card helped eased the pain for my friend and her husband.  

Turner Syndrome

 

February 4-7is Turner Syndrome card auction. This is being presented by Lori Koblar who has a daughter with this syndrome.  Each year she presents a card auction from various card artists and puts them on insta-gram aution for sale.  All proceeds to the the Turner Syndrome Foundation.

Happy Valentines Day

 As most of you know I am a chemo angel - I currently have a teen boy as well as a female and a senior male.  Well I had no problem coming up with a valentine as well as a giftie for my woman and my senior man but my teen boy - and my hubby came up with a McDonalds Gift card.  So while I was out today running errands I stopped at McDonalds and picked up a gift card.  Came home and started looking through my Valentine box and came up with this:

absolutely perfect for my boy plus the Mc Donalds gift card - 

The stamp I have had in my Valentine stash for many years and is by Peddlers Pack - and the date on it is 2003.  Oh Wow - talk about feeling old!!!  Anyway I thought this paired up perfect with the gift card and it will be in the mail tomorrow.  Already mailed my other chemo buddies cards and gifts.  The grandkids dad stopped by and picked up their gifts (shipping is so expensive) and I have their Valentines ready to go in the mail the first part of next. week.  

Got one made for hubby which I will be posting soon.  Can't forget the DH.
