Girl with Kitty

Whimsy and Stars Digi - "Girl with Kitty", Prisma colored pencils, OMS, spellbinders nesties, polka dot cs from AMuse, pattern from Echo Park, flower from The Angel Co. and bakers twine.
Another "sweet" digi image from Mabelle at Whimsy and Stars Girl with Kitty - isn't she precious? I printed her out on Neenah Solar White and was not really pleased when I colored another image with Copic Markers so this one I color with koh-i-noor colored pencils from AMuse - I had almost forgotten how much fun it was to color with pencils and OMS until I colored this little girl. Not quite the shading you can get with copics but it turned out very well. Cut out with Spellbinders nesties, glitter paper from my stash, polka dot paper from AMuse Bermuda polka dots, and the pattern accent piece is from Echo Park (love Echo Park too). Some bakers twine a pretty blue flower and button (from TAC) and a jewel in her hair accessories. Took a class back this past winter where we used glitter paper and the instructor recommended BEACON glue when you use glitter paper - and well I have used it every since, very reasonable price and available at Michaels. I just got 2 "new" to me summer images from Mabelle and I have a "new" wave die so can't wait to play this afternoon.

Amelie on the Beach

Whimsy and Stars Digi Amelie . Echo Park DP on top, sandpaper on bottom, Copic Markers, XPress-It white CS, star brad., beach umbrella brad, Spellbinders nestie, Sentiment from The Angel Company..
s Amelie ready for the beach??? I "won" this sweet image from Whimsy and Stars Studio and she is so much fun to color. I used copic to color her with (used Neenah Solar white Crest CS) then fussy cut her out. DP is from Echo Park and the sand is SANDPAPER - the sentiment is from TAC and the brads are from my stash. Just don't many brads anymore so it was fun to see all the different ones I had collected through the years. The beach umbrella brad was perfect for this beachy scene. She is headed to a little girl who just completed bone marrow transplant and needs some cheer. I think this might do it.

Pure Innocence BaseBall Boy

I have been eyeing this little cutie from Pure Innocence since he came out recently - I hadn't ordered him yet as my friend Cheryl and I went to Kimmswick MO on Friday to do a little shopping, lunch and fun. There is a cute stamp store there called The Stamp Pad and she carries such a variety of companies and she had the little BaseBall Boy so he found his way home in my bag. She also had some clearance papers and I picked up this one from My Minds Eye and I thought it was perfect for this image. Colored with copic markers cut out with nesties. The sentiment comes with the set and I wrapped it with bakers twine from AMuse Studio. The ball is a 3/4 circle with freehand stitching, (place over a slight smudge oops!!). This one is addressed and ready to go in the mail tomorrow for a little chemo boy who will be turning 6. I think he will like it.

Party DressT

> This image is from Michelle Perkett etsy shop - I thought it was a "must have" to add to my digi collection. I paper pieced the dress with the beautiful yellow polka dot from AMuse Studio - love their polka dot paper - again another "must have". colored the stand with glitter pens, bodice with colored pencil and cut out with nestie. Tiny pearls for the flower centers are again from AMuse Studio and the three flowers on the side of the image were bought (by the yard) from Hobby lobby. This would make a cute all occasion card, or birthday card, especially for a young teen.

Amelie

This is Amelie from Whimsy and Stars and I made a "twisted easel" card to showcase her. She is colored with copic markers, flowers cut with spellbinders, image cut with spellbinders, ribbon AMuse studio, DP is from MS and sentiment is from Hero Arts.
This is the twisted easel card open - finished size is 5 1/2 in. square. I used 3 different patterns of MS DP and a scallop punch again MS on the bottom, and flowers were popped up on pop dots to hold card open. What a fun card this was to make - I have someone very special in mind to send it to!!! Can't give away secrets.

Goosebumps Butterfly

One morning last week I went to my stamping friends (Patti J.) house for a creative session. She contributed the coffee filter background and I had the technique from SplitCoast Stampers using goosebumps spray. First the coffee filter, empty coffee ground (very important), air dry or may use heat gun. Using Tim Holtz distress inks rub in different colors with either sponge or Tim Holtz tool. spritz with water and dry again. After completed cut to size and I ran it through the cuttlebug for just some extra texture. Then had an Inkadinkadoo butterfly stamp that I had gotten in the clearance bin at the stamp store in Kimmswick Mo. Using a clean sponge pad for the Tim Holtz tool spray sponge with goosebumps and dab on your image, stamp and quickly clean your stamp!!! This step is very important. Let dry and using sponge or Tim Holtz tool rub colors on the image. How much fun and how pretty it turned out. I had some extra coffee filter left so I punched out some flowers - very delicate - and MS punch for the fern leaves. What a pretty card both of these techniques made.

Blooming Bouquet

This beautiful bouquet of flowers was a "free" gift with purchase from Mabelle over at Whimsy and Starslast week - she has the mostest cutest digi images as well as some red rubber too. This was fun to color with my copic markers, cut out with nesties, then I used some DP I had in my stash from Stampin Up from a "long" time ago. Punched out some swirls trimmed them with pearls and the card was almost finished. I purchased a simple pack of sentiments by hero Arts at a new stamp store in Kimmswick, Mo. - they were clear stamps and the thing I love about clear is you can twist, curve, stamp them just about any way you want, as you can see I curved mine to fit the oval. This card will go to one of my chemo ladies that has "graduated" which is wonderful as she no longer needs my encouragement but sad because I will miss her. I bought a butterfly hankie a while back and the card and hankie will be my farewell giftie to a super lady.

DPDC23 Big Birdie Egg

Just found out that my dear granddaughters BFF - Laci is having their first baby and when I saw this last month on Doodle Pantry I knew it was a must have. Once again - how about a card in under 10 minutes??? This was it, the image was precolored, I did some doodles around the edge (this was cased) photo corners on the corners, scallop edge on the vertical and then on my white cs base it is just a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 piece with the Happy glowing printed in the corner. some scor-pal work on the top scor-pal tape together and card complete, want to get it in the mail tomorrow. This will go in the Doodle Pantry Challenge which they have monthly - and just for entering you get a "free" digi.
