February 27, 2014 Stampfest pictures
I decided to group the butterfly cards together - there were 3 of us that had projects using butterflies - they are so much fun to work with. On the last card we worked with a new product called silk glitter, love it, needless to say we all sparkled the rest of the day. There simply was not a card or project that I didn't enjoy and they all turned out great. I still have a few more to post so be watching next week.

February 25, 2014 Inspirational Words
I really struggled with the sketch for Sketch Saturday this week - and I am not really sure if this will work but I like the way it turned out. I got my NEW set of stamps from Sweet and Sassy today called Inspirational Word Art. It comes with 6 beautiful word inspirations which I thought would be perfect for my chemo cards. I also thought this saying stood alone as the focal point of my card. Add a flower and a butterfly and it is ready to go in the mail this week.

February 23, 2014 Stampfest
What could be more fun than to spend a weekend with stamping friends, stamping, sharing, eating, laughing, ok maybe a little wine too. We had an age spread of 50's to 80's so stamping knows no age limit. There are 4 former TAC "angels and thank heaven we live close enough to get together and stamp.
These are Donna's share projects - the first 2 use AMuse stamps - (love that stamp set) and the black/white one is a Hero Arts and Morning Star (maybe) on the embossed lace.
This beautiful creation is Donna's Mom (Marian) idea - called Northern Lights, we did it on a shimmer paper and it is simply stunning.
I will post more cards in the next day or two - don't want to overwhelm you all at once!!!

February 15, 2014 Happy Happy Birthday
Stamp by Great Impressions, sentiment from TAC, colored with copic markers, doily, bakers twin, ribbon and bling from my stash
This is a birthday card for a very "special BFF" that originally got me into stamping oh lets say 15 years ago. I have known her for a LONG time - we met when we were nurses together on the "Step-Down" unit at a large hospital in St. Louis. She still works as a nurse - she does abstracting from patient charts and I choose to do Home Health nursing for the last 8 years of my career and I just retired in July of 2013. Anyway I hope she likes her card this year - I think it turned out very well, has all the elements that I love, color, bling, and glitter!!! Happy Birthday Donna.

February 12, 2014 Watercolor Serene Silhouettes
SU Serene Silhouettes, cs DCWV, Tim Holtz tiny stapler, Distress Ink Markers, water brush
Made this card for a Chemo buddy that was needing some extra encouragement this week love doing the distress markers and water brush - so fun and I do like the effects. I embossed the birds/limbs with a cobalt blue embossing powder then used a matching blue cs for mounting. I used water color paper for the focal image. Challenges:

February 11, 2014 Happy Birthday Isabella
SU owl punch, cuttlebug embossing folder, circle and scallop circle punch, ribbon and bling from my stash and birthday candle border punch EK Success (I think)
Today is my great granddaughters 1st birthday - and I really like the card I came up with for her special day. I used the SU owl punch for the focal image, had some "big" eyes and mounted her on dotted swiss embossed white, then layered on pink, same with the #1 - I had a # die and I cut it from some pretty pink glitter paper, and then I had a Look hoos from AMuse Studio which was just perfect. Just a little decoration on the inside using a birthday candle border punch which I have had for a while a bit of bling and the card was finished. I got her a subscription to Childrens Highlights - they have one for ages 0-2 so I am anxious to see if Mom enjoys sharing it with Bella. Mom is into "educational" so thought this was perfect. I also got her a DR. Seuss book and a bath mitt just so she would have something to open at her party.

February 10, 2014 Blessings
Stamp byGreat Impressions, sentiment by TAC, asst. washi tape, asst. DP and cs
I am a chemo angel and plus having my own chemo buddies that I send to weekly I also do "special request" which are chemo or seniors that just need a little extra angel encouragement so I like to have some extra thinking of you type cards. Love this stamp from Grat Impressions which I colored up with copic markers. I have a "lot" of washi tape and I think this card was the perfect card to use some of my tape on. Love the little blue birds in the middle. Hope this will bring a smile to that person who needs just an extra angel hug.

February 8, 2014 Crafty Fox
Fox and Sentiment , ribbon- AMuse Studio, DP by Farm House, base cs from my stash, colored with Koh-i-noor pencils and OMS
I am loving the fox stamps, in fact have an order ready to send in to CTMH so I can get their SOTM "for $5.00" which happens to be foxes. The technique I used is from Technique Junkie - I usually try to make at least one of the new techniques monthly - but this one is from a couple of months ago so as you can see I am behind. This will go to one of my "crafty friends".

February 3, 2014 Valentine Elephant
Doodle Pantry Digi Image, DP's from AMuse Studio, Doodlebug Design, Spellbinders nesties, button from stash
I needed to make a couple of "quick" Valentine cards to put in my gifties to mail to a couple of my chemo buddies and I love love love this little elephant from Doodle Pantry, he is precolores perfectly. I followed a sketch on Sketch Saturday which again worked really well with this little guy. The sentiment says the world is BIG but our hearts are bigger which is also from Doodle Pantry. I made this a little bigger card than an A2 so I could get all of the elements in place. A heart button was the finishing touch. Challenges:
