October 7, 2015 Domestic Violence Card

When one of my besties told me about the challenge for domestic violence cards I knew what image I wanted to use.  The feather reminds me how fragile life is and no one deserves to be emotionally, verbally or physically abused by anyone.  I think the feathers  in purple worked up very nicely - needed a little splatter on the white space so used a watercolor brush and flicked some purple color on the card.  Challenges:
Damsel of Distress - purple - domestic violence card

How nicely put about the meaning of the feathers in your card, very clean and simple and elegant. Even the splattering of paint, and a great sentiment.

This is beautiful, Shirley, and what a great image choice! What inks did you use for your stamping and splatters? They match perfectly!

I like the way you think - splatter in the white space! :) What a lovely make and I'm so happy you are raising your voice and talents at the Hop to Stop to raise awareness for victims of domestic violence.

I love the design of this card! I think the color is perfect, and agree with you about the feather. Domestic violence is awful and no one deserves it, and this is a great cause. Great job!
