January 30, 2019 Sketch Challenge
This week over at The House that Stamps Built our challenge is use the sketch above. I turned the sketch on its side. Again another stamp that I have been really wanting to use is 6207J Good trade huh again love the sentiment that comes with the stamp - (and there have been times .....) well you know what I mean. Colored the cat with copic markers, cut out circles with circle dies. I had a 6 x 6 piece of the cat DP that I had saved and it worked perfectly for this image. Now another piece of saved scrap put to good use.
Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of Sketch and as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge. You have a full month to enter our challenge to win. You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.
If you look on my right side bar I also have a discounted coupon for you to use when you go shopping at Repeat Impressions.

January 25, 2019 Just for You
I was going thru a box with images that I had stamped - who knows when - and I ran across this cute dog from Great Impressions - and again I wanted a bright and cheery card so I used some soft blues and bright yellows. I colored the dog and flowers with copic markers, and used a sentiment of Just for You. This will go to any chemo buddy or whatever occasion I want to use this card for.

January 23, 2019 Anything Goes
This week it is Anything Goes over at The House that Stamps Built so the field is wide open as far as creating.
I have had this image for a bit and have been wanting to use it - you see I kind of like giraffes, and this one is no exception 5301M Giraffe and frame stamped in Memento Cocoa brown ink and cut out around the frame. For my sentiment I used 5806H Happiness is. I had some old world map pper in my stash so I used that for my background - then this luscious brown leather look (and feel) strip down the middle I have had well almost forever. I bought a pack of asst. papers at a small stamp store in Washington, MO. many years ago and have used bits and pieces of it when I think about it. It worked perfect for this image. Some chocolate pearls and I think the card is complete.
Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of anything goes - and as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge. You have a full month to enter our challenge to win. You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

January 16, 2019 Inspiration Photo Challenge
This week over at The House that Stamps Built, our challenge is a photo challenge - and when I saw it I was stumped for oh maybe a minute. It certainly has a holiday/New Year Feel to it but I am sending this to grand daughter who is facing finals next week and is totally stressed out.
I die cut a set of stars out of a champagne colored shimmer cardstock - then I mounted them on a kraft and gold star cardstock that I had in my stash. I really thought all it needed was the sentiment 3105E Reach for which I embossed in rich gold embossing powder. I added some tiny gold star gems around the sentiment. So I went to address the envelope and I thought why not dress up the envelope a bit as well, so using 2106G Star Cluster I embossed the Kraft envelope with gold stars which added just a bit of a fun touch.
Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge inspiration photo - and as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge. You have a full month to enter our challenge to win. You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.

January 9, 2019 Tic Tac Toe
My favorite challenge of the month at The House that Stamps Built is Tic Tac Toe - and I choose to go with the bottom line across.
I love to do fancy folds - always a challenge for me - some are harder than others but this one was an easy one, I call it the split easel. For my focal images I used
4516C Tea Cup and 4517F Tea Pot and for my sentiments I went with a Happy Birthday using 1819I Wishing you Happiness and 6512E Everyday Blessings. I stamped the sentiments in a dark grey - and I really like it - adds just a bit of softness. Colored with copic markers, blue ribbon from my stash, and then a bestie got me a set of a stencil and flowers and the flowers went perfect so I used two of them on my card as well. Gives it a bit of a Victorian feel. We did this fold a couple of months at a get together with some of my stamping buddies, and I have since made it several times.
Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of Tic Tac Toe - and as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge. You have a full month to enter our challenge to win. January 2, 2019 DCC - Snowglobe
Well - hope everyone had a Happy New Year and a Merry Christmas. This is the first DCC of the year 2019 at The House that Stamps Built. Our Team member Esther chose Snowglobes as our challenge. Well I didn't have a snow gobe stamp per say so I improvised. I used a circle die and a free hand base. Then what to put in my snow globe. Well I went a little funny on this one. See I love this set Holy Crap 10600 which is a 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of red rubber with multiple words and images to go with this theme. Yes you can buy them individually
10601L Holy Crap and 10634I Outhouse and 2714D Small Pine Forest but I went for the entire sheet and never run out of fun options.
I circle cut my globe in a light blue DP then did some shading and added the moon with distress oxide inks. Used some glitter paper under the base and then stamped (second generation) pine trees in green - just to add a feel of a real outhouse. Paper pieced the outhouse, and if you look closely you will see some handmade icicles on the outhouse roof and under the BRRR. I then die cut BRRR from some navy velvet paper I had - and if anyone has had to use one of these at night in the winter you know just how cold it is. Did some snow splatters added a blue velvet bow and a white snowflake and done. I have a friend who will appreciate this - as they go camping a lot - summer and winter so it will soon be on the way to her.
Now it is your turn to make a card using the challenge of Snowglobe - and as you can see there are a lot of possibilities for this challenge. If you don't have a snowglobe improvise or order snow globes here 8901-L using the discount on my side bar. You have a full month to enter our challenge to win. You do not have to use Repeat Impressions stamps but if you do you will be entered twice for the drawing of a $25 gift certificate to Repeat Impressions.
