Masculine cards are always a struggle for me despite the fact that I have several masculine stamp sets. I have a younger preteen chemo buddy - so I have been trying to make a few for "tween" boys that aren't too juvenile. Here are a couple using sneaker stamps.
Love the red tennies - made this at a class - so the die is not in my collection, but it comes with the little bitty eyelets, shoestrings, and star. The first card is in my collection - no die but I fussy cut them out - not as much detail as the red ones but I like the way it turned out and is ok for a "tween", teen, or....a younger male.

Oh yes I think these tennis shoes are perfect for young males/teens!! Super cute designs and fun colors for males too! I absolutely love the converse shoes die even with the stitches and little star!! Super fun and they will love your cards!!

I love both your cards, but those red tennies really caught my eye. I have a tennis shoe die set and don't use it often enough. I should get it out and make a few cards with it to donate. You always inspire me, Shirley!
