March 1, 2013 Pitcher and Basin

Doodle Pantry Digi Image Pitcher and Basin, Doily by BoBunny, DP Doodle Pantry, Bling by AMuse Studio, lace from my stash

Once again it is time for the new releases from Doodle Pantry and this month is fun filled with new Easter and spring creations as well as a couple of vintage images.  I choose the pitcher and basin precolored for the sentimental value it had.  My mom had one of these for years and unfortunately I did not get it when she passed, but the memory of the pitcher and basin are still in my mind.  I am trying my wings so to speak and taking a few plunges with printing, I printed this image directly on the doily and I think it turned out very well. I love center step cards and they are easy to make.  To add to the vintage look I pulled out my box with the laces and thought this was the perfect embellishment, added a bit of bling and card complete.

Doodle Pantry Digi Caterpillar Swing, Doodle Pantry Digi DP, spellbinders nesties, cloud dies MFT, butterfly dies by IO buttons from my stash, fun flocking SU, and orange flowersoft.

For my second creation for todays release I used the Catapillar Swing which Laurie has added color to,  I love making easel cards especially shaped easel cards I chose to color him myself so I could use some soft fun flocking.  Then I added a bit of flower soft to his antennas.  I wanted to have him swinging through the clouds and then decided to add a couple of butterflies. This is a touch card with lots of texture and fun appeal and I already have an envelope addressed for this card to go to a new home.  I know you are going to love all the new releases that Doodle Pantry has this month plus enter the challenge and you will receive a free set just for entering.

Fabulous job printing the pitcher and basin onto the doily, Shirley. So effective! Gorgeous card. And I love the second card, too. Great flocking on the caterpillar.

The picture and basin card is amazing, I would never have been able to size and center it. The colors and design are awesome. Your second card is very bright and cheery too, well designed and will put a big smile on someone's face.

I have been so eager to see the doily printing - KUDOS!!! What a fabulous idea, and it's so perfect for that gorgeous image! The caterpillar card is too much cuteness! And I love that you have it displayed on a doily! Great job, dear friend! And I love your photos - the dimension is so nice!!!

Oh, your cards are wonderful. I can't believe you printed directly on that doily. I would have NEVER thought of that. It looks awesome. And I'm a huge fan of flock, so was especially thrilled to see it on your caterpillar card. What a great release this is!

Oh my a step and an easel card? You are very brave :) They turned out beautifully! The doily and lace on the first one compliment the image perfectly. The cheerful colors on the second one make me want to go out and play...now if only the weather was a little warmer!

Oh wow...super delicate and vintage and pretty. I don't know how this post got by me! The worm card was the very first Digi I had ever bought which was at Clear Dollar stamps by Laurie! It's amazing coming back full circle.
