January 11, 2016 HI

I participate in a monthly swap with Technique Junkie and we have to use one of the techniques either on the blog or on a CD that has been published.  This technique is "layered washi".  I have a LOT of washi tape so I decided this year was the year to use some of my "stash".  I embossed the bottom 2/3 of the card using a cuttlebug folder and then distressed a bit with black soot ink, and then cut out a die cut from Memory box that I love (thanks Pam) and a hi and dotted the i with a small star.  I like the way it turned out and I hope my swap partner does too.  Challenges:
Crafting When we Can - use something new (die)
Crafty Calender - something new - new die in my stash
     Brown Sugar - anything goes

Love the card surely! I like what you did with the washi tape and the embossing folder both. I am sure it will brighten your swap partners day.

Your card is beautiful, Shirley! So much texture and interesting elements. That Memory Box die is really lovely and adds "flair" to your card.

oh, I love this Shirley! What a great idea to dot the 'i' with a star! Washi is challenging to use. I love it too though and am trying to use it... like paper... help! lol
