December 30, 2016 Happy New Years

I needed some time in my craft room - nothing on television except reruns and we watched the movies we rented and NO we are unable to get Netflex due to limited data.  So I made a New Years card.

I have several stencils and seldom think about getting them out but had watched a video earlier in the day so did some stenciling, some stamping, some coloring and this is to wish everyone a Happy New Years for 2017 - may your year be filled with blessings and joy.  Stamps from Repeat Impressions.

December 29, 2016 Sledding

Another fun winter card using only die cuts - yes I love die cuts but couldn'tget along without my stamps as well.  I created the background using distress inks, masking off a full moon.  The hill sides are from AMuse, the trees are from Memory Box and the boy on the sled is from IO.  Lots of glitter used on this one therefore all over my desk top as well.  This card just says FUN FUN.

December 28, 2016 Wishing you Well

One day last week my hubby asked me if I could make a "going away" type card for one of the employees at the bowling alley where he bowls on two leagues. So I asked him - when do you need it, he said oh tomorrow!!!  I really thought he knew how much planning time went into a card - but I was super pleased he asked me to make him a card.  He told me it was a payment on his investment in my hobby!!!

Well he too has a hobby, one of many but to go with the card he made this stepping stone to go with the card - and Connie the gal that was leaving loved both the card and the stepping stone.

December 25, 2016 Merry Christmas

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas - isn't this script elegant and the snowflakes beautiful cut from gold glittered paper.  Used an embossing folder for my background and the deep red cs just set this card off.
May we all remember the reason for the season and to keep Christ in Christmas.

December 24, 2016 Jesus is the Reason

This was one of my favorite Christmas cards I made this season - and I totally cased it from my friend Diane S.  Love the white on white with the focal image in black as well as the sentiment.  This set is from SU - new this year as well as the bg embossing folder is from SU.  Makes such a beautiful simple card depicting the reason for Christmas.  Jesus is the Reason for Christmas - without his birth there would be no Christmas.  May all of you have a Merry Christmas and the best wishes for 2017.

December 23, 2016 Ho Ho Ho

Yes this is my second post this morning - just had so many cards I wanted to share this week, should have started sharing last week.

Every month Gerda Steiner offers a FREE digi image - if you participate in her monthly progressive challenge then you will receive next months free.

I saw this fun fold on Pinterest today - and although I had my image colored and cut out I didn't have a clue what I was going to do until I watched the video.  Looks complicated but it really isn't.  Fun to make and will be tucking this card in the great grand kiddies Christmas package when we see them on Christmas eve.

December 23, 2016 More Elegant Reindeer

This  first card was "cased" from Pinterest and I love how it turned out, again all dies, no stamping on this one.  The greenery are dies from Tim Holtz collections, the die from Memory Box and the poinsettia flowers are from AMuse Studio.
The second card again no stamping but all dies or punches (snowflakes) - thanks Patti for letting this beautiful reindeer visit my house.

December 22, 2016 Snowman

Another fun card using only dies/punches.  This snowman is so veratile I think I will get some mileage out of him. Made by Memory Box.  Last week I met one of my dear besties Donna and her beautiful/amazing and loving mother.  We have "adopted" each other - and she calls me her adopted daughter.  She loves to shop, lunch and stamp with us.  We met in Kimmswick MO. and shopped at The Stamp Pad - (where I bought a few new dies) and then lunched at The Dough Depot, exchanged Christmas gifties and had a very nice day.

Is this pillow absolutely ME??? Donna's Mom got this for me for Christmas.   For those who know me you know we have a herd of three fur babies - and love them all, they are well behaved (most of the time - ok some of the time), love to have company, love treats, and best of all love to be petted.  They get lots of pets and treats when we have our girls crafting weekend.

I used a SU embossing folder as the background for this card and die cut my words from two different companies but it works.  Loved decorating the snowman for this card.

December 20, 2016 Elegant Reindeer

These two cards are totally using die cuts and embellishments.  How elegant is this beautiful reindeer?  My friend Patti J. let this die play at my house for a few days.  Although the picture does not show well the beautiful mirror cs I used- and it was just too rainy, foggy, and no good lighting to photograph outside - this card is very pretty IRL.  I used ebossing folders for my background for both of these cards and the poinsettia I purchased at HL.  I have the TimHoltz holiday set of phrases and words and I have used it a lot this season.  Enjoy

December 18, 2016 Snowman Nativity

I had "saved" some older Christmas cards I had received over the years and this was one among my favorites and I am not 100% sure who did the original - either Christine P. or Julie R. (I think).  This set was one of my Christmas sets from TAC which is no longer in business but I have saved it and used it many times in the past few years.  If you love the Nativity story and snowpeople  you will understand why this is one of my favorite seasonal sets.  Colored with Copic markers and Stardust pen, some glitter on the snowbanks. The inside of the card continues the story of the birth Jesus.

December 16, 2016 Peace, Love, Joy

Another fun fold card we made when my friend Donna was here for an overnight crafting session.  This card stands when the bow is untied but lays flat for mailing.  I embossed this beautiful stamp with red tinsel embossing powder, added a pretty poinsettia from Hobby Lobby and some blue and red bakers twine to hold the card flat.

December 14, 2016 Christmas Ornaments

I often work ahead for my Repeat Impressions DT  projects so I had 2 ornaments already made using this photo inspiration.

Talk about easy - I used chipboard snowflakes that I got at Hobby Lobby (I only live about a mile from this addicting store).  I made a couple of rosettes and glued them on the snowflake.  I then used Snowflakes 8805-K  from REPEAT IMPRESSIONS.  The stamp comes with 5 snowflakes but with my Kai scissors I cut them apart so I could use them individually.  Embossed a small snowflake, punched with circle punch  and glued it on the rosette then put a tiny gem inthe middle.
I am sending my chemo buddy a little box of goodies weekly for the month of December and one of the ornaments was included in her box of goodies.

December 12, 2016 Let Heaven and Nature Sing Carolers

Another fun card to put together - I used all dies except my sentiment.  Dies are so "IN" now - my favorite brick and mortar stamp store is mostly dies, but rubberstamps, clear stamps are still my favorite although I have alot of nice digi images.  I created a fun winter scene using three different dies then popping the carolers and the snow covered trees up with pop dots.

December 10 , 2016 JOY Christmas Tree

This picture really does not do the card justice - IRL it is a beautiful shimmer with the mirror background and embelishments.
Last week my friend Donna came down for an overnight visit to craft.  Well between crafting and sipping a little wine we came up with several beautiful cards.  My hubby cooks and we craft (yes I have him trained).
This image by Memory Box is embossed with a silver pearl embossing powder and I thought the silver mirror background would show it off beautifully.  Enjoy

Repeat Impressions Stamps
I stamped andfussy cut the flowers and leaves -mounted/popdot flowers on white, then mounted on a beautiful frame from Spellbinders.  For the sentiment embossed in gold and just the edges cut with the same Spellbinders die

 Repeat Impression Stamp
8805-K Snowflakes

Made a Christmas ornament - did a rosette - glued it on a chipboard glittered snowflake and then stamped and embossed the snowflake on red, a bit of bling in the center and gold string for handing.

Repeat Impression Stamps

My final spot light card is for my senior buddy in Canada -I just thought he would enjoy.  I embossed the entire bg with a snow embossing folder, after stamping my sentiment in the right corner.  Then I glued on a cut background greenery scene from Tim Holtz, fussy cut my deer silhouette and then lightly brushed with Wink of Stella pen to give it that magic twinkle.

Hope you have enjoyed my spotlight series and will now go over to The House that Stamp Built to learn a bit more about me.

December 1, 2016 - House of Cards December Blog Hop

Put on some Christmas songs, grab a cup of coffee, tea, or even a glass of wine and sit back and enjoy our Holiday Blog Hop at House of CardIs.

We have several sponsors for this months hop and I choose to use a digital image called  SNOW BABIES from our talented owner and designer Mynn.

Our inspiration is from the picture posted at the beginning of this post - I choose to use a Memory Box circle die with snowflakes as my wreath, then cut a circle from some gold vellum.  I printed my digi images on white cardstock - colored with copics and then fussy cut them.  I used pop dots to pop them up in the center of my wreath.  I used a scrap of gold shimmer cardstock and edged it with a holly punch then trimmed it with some beautiful gold trim I got at Hobby Lobby and tied three gold bows with tiny gems in the center and hung them on my "mantel".

Join us this month for our Holiday blog hop and please leave a comment on everyone along the way.  We have hidden prizes along the way.  And here are our sponsors that are offering prizes.
