March 25, 2020 Anything Goes

Where oh where is the time going???  Can't believe it is the end of March already.  It seems like it was a long winter for us but I feel sure spring is here.
I chose to do an Easter inspired card for my anything goes challenge this week.

I'm thinking of "Palm Sunday" Easter theme for my card this week.  I used the
5120K Palm Frond Large for my card and the sentiment Rejoice 3907-G.  I used a post it note in the center of my card and then stamped the palm  frond stamped around the post it note.  I then removed the post it note and stamped Rejoice in the same green - and then again slightly off using versa mark and gold embossing.  So I had gold in mind, I have a punch with photo corners which I used to punch out my photo corners and then one more embellishment.  I had a card of silver crosses in my stash - so trying something new I pressed the silver cross on the versamark ink pad and dipped it in the gold embossing powder and heat set.  It worked.  I usually send out several Easter cards - I already have the kids cards made but I was needing some more adult ones.

The palms are stunning on your card here and I love the idea of masking off a place for your sentiment! The cross charm is a fabulous accent too!! Stay safe my friend! HUGS

It was such a good idea to use a palm frond stamp for your Easter card. While we don't often see them on Easter cards, we all know their significance to Lent and the Easter celebration. You're so clever!

Very pretty and absolutely perfect for Easter (or Palm Sunday)!! These fronds are really fabulous, I need to ink mine up. Great idea on how to change the color of the cross; now it fits your card perfectly.
